OMG.
Rusty, I may forgive you all your issues yet: I am rapidly coming to the conclusion that there is no way even you cannot make the finale episode not be COMPLETELY FUCKING AWESOME.
That is, guess who Michelle and I met today...
THAT WOULD BE JOHN BARROWMAN. WHO WALKED PAST US IN JACK'S SHIRTSLEEVES AND BRACES AS WE WERE HAVING LUNCH IN THE CLUB THEY WERE FILMING DOCTOR WHO IN. That's right, folks, Jack is back!
:D :D :D
The reason for this post's title is because, even though my brain Blue Screen of Deathed and I didn't achieve movement when we first saw him (Jesus H. Christ, that man is unspeakably attractive), I did at least manage to squeak a 'hi John!' as he went by. Michelle and I kicked ourselves afterwards as it would have been the perfect chance to get a photo with him since he didn't seem in too much of a hurry, but we were just sitting down and then UNEXPECTED CAPTAIN JACK. At least I was coherent! Michelle didn't manage to say anything at all. ^_^
And then when filming ended and he walked past I grabbed camera and stood up (yes, I achieved movement - this should not be such a big deal but that bastard makes my brain go kaput EVERY GODDAMN TIME) and said hi and asked for a photo, but he didn't have time. He was, however, sweet and polite about it and apologised lots.
So, to recap: we have Donna Noble returning, Wilfred Noble as the episode companion, June Whitfield popping up as a friend/lady-friend of Wilf's, THE GODDAMN MASTER, and Jack Bloody Harkness running about being sexy in shirt-sleeves and braces. THERE IS NO WAY (I hope) THAT THIS CANNOT BE AWESOME. I may yet have to forgive Rusty all his sins.
Oh, and about ten minutes after That Person arrived, David Tennant ran past our table in the Doctor's suit. He really is all knees and elbows, that man.
God alone knows how we didn't see David leave: That Person used the main door despite it being busy in Tiger Tiger, so presumably there can't have been an alternate exit and we were watching the stairs like hawks. Maybe they smuggled him out in the boxes or something?
Waiting for David meant Michelle and I didn't make the start of the concert Gareth was performing in, but we got there just as the second half was starting and it was great. I'm really glad we went.
(2335 words, and as that's 335 words ahead of original schedule, even if it's not the 2500 words I wanted, I'm stopping now. This essay may yet get done with time to spare tomorrow after all.)
