Spring Break is over
Im sad! :( Spring break is over as of 12:00 am tonight! It didnt last long enough. Here is the breakdown of my spring break:
Sunday: uh, I dont even remember...prolly just layed around
Monday: did some errands, bought Steven's birthday present, went to the doctor with steven
Tuesday: cleaned some of the apartment, did some laundry, layed around some more
Wednesday: Steven's birthday!! We went to Prairie Meadows and met his parents there. We ate there and gambled some. High stakes slot machines are bad!
Thursday: Went home, went to Hy-Vee and ordered wedding cake and got an estimate on catering for the wedding, went to rental place for wedding reception items, played with pets at home :)
Friday: went to the eye doctor and they didnt tell me that my eyes were going to be dialated so I tried to drive and that didnt work. My mom had to take me to a gas station to get some sunglasses because we were going to my Grandma's that day. We ate lunch at my grandma's (yummy!) and then went through all the pictures that were in my late Great-Grandma's cedar chest. It was a very interesting experience and i got to see pictures of my ancestors. I miss my grandparents more than I realize sometimes. It made me think of how much it is going to kill me when they eventually are gone...which i hope doesnt happen for a long time. Then, after we got back to Adel I went to get my first hair trial for the wedding. It turned out pretty good and I think I know the way I want my hair. I actually looked pretty with it done!
Saturday: I got my laundry finished in Adel and then headed back to Ames. After I got back Steven and I went to the dollar-theatre and saw National Treasure. It was actually a really good movie. Then Steven and I went to Hastings and he bought the Da Vinci Code. I am gonna read it when he is finished. So far, he says it is pretty good.
Today: I layed around most of the day. I finished the actual wedding invitations but I still have to get the repsonse/RSVP cards and the maps done. I am thinking of sending them out in the middle of next month. I also got the invitations to my bridal shower all written out. It will be on April 16 at the Methodist Church in Adel. I told my mom that she and Rachel and Rachele can get it all planned out.
We are also meeting with my parents and Steven's parents on Saturday night to discuss the wedding. We are either getting food from Hy-Vee or from this guy that does catering whom my dad is friends with. Which ever one is cheaper is the one we will go with. I just need to get this taken care of so I can worry about the other little details. I am mainly excited for the honeymoon!! It will cost us a lot of money but I think its worth it!!
This week I have one test and then two more the week after. But, there is only a little over a month left of the semester! I graduate on May 9!! I am so excited! I have the graduation announcements but I still need to buy my cap and gown. Hopefully I will do well in all my classes too.
