So I belong to the...club or whatever for the radio station that is putting on the Next Big Thing Concert here in Tampa where My Chem is to play Dec.5. I just got a notice from the radio station that this year there will be : "spontaneous performances. Imagine standing in line and a performance breaks out right in front of you!"
So that would be cool. Of course My Chem is the big big draw, but other cool bands are playing. The Black Keys, Cage the Elephant, Chevelle, Finger Eleven. And with the VIP tickets I get valet parking, seating, drinks brought to the table, and you get to hang when they interview bands. So. And the concert will be in 3D? Which I guess means the jumbotron and stuff you will be able to see in 3D with your 3D glasses. That I am not so sure about. So, one minus but a whole lot of pluses.
I have loved this season of Supernatural. I admit, I was crushed at the "hug" we got in the first episode, but I think what is going on between the brothers is actually more natural than an instant joyful reunion. I do not care for the Campbells. My only problem with Supernatural is the time it is on. It's on at the same time as my second favorite show Ghost Adventures.
I love Ghost Adventures and those guys so much. They are very serious, the "leader" Zac is just this serious business diva, (I just thought what a great crossover, Gerard and Zak Ghost Adventures. I am not sure who would be the most.....most). and Aaron and Nik are very cool. I do like them more than Ghost Hunters. Mostly because I got tired of hearing all the personal business of the Ghost Hunters crews, and how they never found anything with their lights and cords and all the talking about their personal lives. And Grant and Jason got a little jerky IMO. The first episode this season Ghost Adventures went to Gettysburg and it was amazing. I like how it's just the three of them and their night vision gear and new devices. No cords and big lights and talking about their lives. Except how Bob Mackey's ruined Aaron's marriage. A great show.
My sister and her husband and my two nephews now live around the corner from me, which is good and bad. My oldest nephew got to move home (around the corner from me) at the end of Aug. and then lost his mind, it seems. He may have it back at the moment but since he is a teenager he will likely lose it again. He just got another tattoo, this time our city name. WTF, teenagers. His mom is more upset with his tattoo choices than him getting them. She keeps on and on about how it's so trendy now, and her son isn't even getting anything cool. She does not say it to him, of course, she doesn't want him to feel bad. He wants a full sleeve before he's 20. He's 16 now. I am glad I don't have kids. Being an aunt is hard enough. He has his learners permit and so I take him driving around, his mom is too scared to let him drive their car (it's a grand prix?) until she can trade it in for a mini van, hopefully in the next month or two. My nephew will get his regular drivers license in May and my dad is going to give him his Ford truck. It's a small truck and he can trade it in for a small car if he wants. He loves my car, it's a Nissan Versa and small and will not go fast at all so it may be a perfect choice when the time comes.
That's about it. My mom's cat who has been missing a month suddenly showed up again yesterday and in just a 15 or 16 days we get to turn the clocks back an hour! My favorite time of year!
