I failed screenwriting. I never heard back from her. I have no idea what's going on. I called the English Department Head and he told me that there is a formal appeal process. I send him my complaint in writing, what I think my grade should be and why or what I think should happen and why.
My plan is to write out what the semester was like. She was unresponsive to almost all of my emails. I will state that I do not believe I was graded fairly and that I would like to retake the class with a different professor and not have this grade appear on my transcripts. I will explain my absences, which she knew that I was at funerals (it wasn't a good semester in that regard). I will not whine or rant. It will be properly written, I will not have it tossed away as a child's unjustified complaint due to poor writing!
He reads this, send it on to the prof, she respondes, and then he makes his decision.
Wish me luck. I don't know what will happen. The worst thing I guess is that he says, "No, the grade remains." *sigh*
