[If it matters, you can hear one (1) Seamus Zelazny Harper laughing hysterically and uncontrollably in the background. Beka, on the other hand, looks downright pissed off.]

This wishing is bullshit. What's the matter, universe, can't even grant me my real ship? Is she too much for you? Is this the best you can do?

[She holds up a toy model of a Read more... )

That's the last time I go wishing on stars. Useless bunch of... [Grrr.]

It gave me... a toy. Instead of my ship. Ha, ha, ha.

Maybe it was trying to teach you to wish a little... smaller?

Yeah, sure. Doesn't mean I appreciate it. [Mumble mutter.]

It can give people wings but it can't give me a ship. Odd specifications, if you ask me.

Oh, Beka, it is a darling little ship! I'm sure it is lovely in actuality, though do your ships not have sails?

[Alexis has rather an impressive set of sail-wings herself, as anyone can see. She does seem to be dressed in something besides her eighteenth century clothing, even if it isn't completely modern.]

Or you could borrow mine, if they were not rather attached to me. But have you been well?

Nope, no sails. There's no wind in space, so they really wouldn't do any good.

[She smiles a bit, and when she notices the wings, she perks up a bit, her anger at Harper (momentarily) put aside.]

They look cute on you, Alexis! What's it like to have them? And, yeah, I've been well. A little agitated [Pointed glare off to the side!... then back] at certain people, but great otherwise. What about you?

It doesn't make sleeping an easy task! But I have tried gliding about with them, a little higher each time, and it's - extraordinary. Though I still think flying among the stars must be far better.

[Alexis laughs as she glimpses back to, where someone is having a rather intense lecture at the computer.]

Besides the wings, quite well! I've a job, an apartment at the hostel with two rooms, a bit of company - and they have opened something - an ice cream parlor? Do they have ice cream in space, too?

Well, I'm sure it's a completely different feeling to spread your own wings and flying around. But yeah, in my opinion? Nothing beats flying through space. [She smiles, kind of distantly. It's obvious she misses it so much...

... But she shakes that off, back to the now.] Ooh, ice cream. Yeah, they've got it all over in space. Everyone has a different idea on how it's made though, so you never know what you're going to get. Where did they open the one here?
