[Audio; Locked to Team Angelus aka those who took part in the ritual]

Nov 07, 2011 16:50

I'm taking Angel to the Sheriff's department tonight to turn himself in. If anyone else wants to come, I can probably take two or three more in the Lexus.

[A pause.]

I'm also turning myself in, so I may need at least one person to drive the car back to the mansion for me.

cordelia chase, faith lehane, spike, buffy summers, bonnie mccullough (au), wesley wyndam-pryce, damon salvatore, angelus/angel

You're going to do what now?

In case you're forgetting, it was a temporary release, pending Angelus' capture. Now that he's been neutralised...I still have criminal charges to face, Faith.

So? Screw them. You did your thing for the city, if they were stupid enough to let you go then what do you care about going back? Because it's the right thing or whatever?

Are they even looking for you to come back? Do they even know Angel got his soul? You did your time.

[He holds up his wrist so she can see the magical markings.]

They can summon me any time they want. I'm on a tracker. Yes, I presume they know since both Buffy and Damon are on the force.

[He gives her a shake of the head and even smiles wryly.]

It's all topsy turvy, isn't it? I'm the one who's in trouble with the law this time.

I beg your pardon?

The only reason I was let out of jail was to take Angelus down. That was the arrangement.

With any luck, the DA will be lenient.

Well, wait a little bit. I'll come in to work a night shift. I'll try to oversee all the paperwork on you two.

I was going to wait until nightfall anyway, for obvious reasons. And thank you. I'll just be glad to finally get everything squared away.

If you thought I wasn't coming, you thought wrong. And I can drive the car back, but do you mind explaining to me why you're turning yourself in?

[He does appreciate it, Cordelia.]

I'm still facing criminal charges from the prison riot and barrier collapse some months back. I was let out temporarily on the condition that I help bring down Angelus. Now that that's taken care of, I have to go back and face the music, as it were.

...Well I guess that makes sense. But they should give you like, community service or something for how much you've helped with Angelus. Doesn't that outweigh the bad?

Maybe they will. And perhaps it does. Either way, I need to take my lumps.

I'm not sure you want me driving the Lexus, but I'll meet you at the station. See what I can do for you.

Is your driving that bad?

Thank you, I would appreciate it immensely. I'm prepared to face jail time for what I did, but if you could vouch that I'm not about to run rampage over the city, that would be lovely.

Slayers three thousand years in the future are still telling me I drive like a spazz.

I will. I'm pretty sure Chief Givens and the DA just want to get this off their desk anyway.

It can't be any worse than Cordelia's driving.

Let's hope they are in the mood to let bygones be bygones.

Speaking of, what the fuck did you do to Bonnie?

What did I--?

What are you talking about?

Talking about her coming home cryin' her eyes out the other day.

[Oh, that. What is he supposed to say to that? Bonnie had been understandably upset, but so had he. After all, break ups rarely end in smiles, laughter and fun-filled hugs.]

...how is she?

[He saw her during the ritual, but he wants to know how she's dealing with things.]
