Y'know, something's been bugging me. When I got here a while ago, I was... older. Taller 'n all that, definitely more 'n I should've been. Then 'bout a year ago [ to the day, as a matter of fact ] I turned back to normal. Dunno why.
That ever happen to anybody else here? Or-'ve you ever heard 'bout it?

I remember that. But I haven't heard of it with anyone else.
[A beat.]
Snape was asking after you. He wants to continue some kind of experiment he says he was working with you on. Is that true?
[It would be pretty hard to miss the distaste in his tone.]

I don't get it. Why'd it happen at all...?
[ Snape? ... Oh. Oops. 'Experiment' gathers a small flinch from him before he continues, noting the tone as he does. ]
Uh... Y-yeah, I guess so.

[A bit of a sigh. He wants to ask, but after barging into the teen's bedroom last week ...]
Well, like I said, he wants to continue it with you. I told him I'd ask you if you wanted to, so the question is: do you?

[ Beat. Nervous lip-licking goes here. ]
Yeah, I... I do. But... you know him?
[ After the way Lance asked, he doesn't want to risk another situation like with Conrad happening again. ]

We're ... not on very good terms. His entitlement gets in the way of communicating and his methods leave a lot to be desired whenever something doesn't go the way he wants.

... so, kinda like you?

I deserved that. It's ... probably one of the reasons we don't get on too well. But there's some things he resorts to which I don't approve of and his use of them hasn't given me any reason to trust his restraint.
[Another pause while he considers whether he should clarify or not. Yes, he should.]
When we first met he tried to manipulate my memories. I'll admit I pushed him; asked him too much, too fast. Still, there were other avenues he could have taken other than attacking me, and yet that's what he chose.

I figured out something he didn't like me figuring out, so he tried to wipe it from my memory. It didn't take and I didn't need to push him as hard as I did, but there wasn't much call for him to do something so extreme. That's why I don't trust his restraint when things don't go his way.

Just be careful, okay? I'd rather not have him here without supervision, but if you'd like him to come he can.

What kinda supervision?

Either way, it won't have to be me. Just one of the dragons to make sure he's not doing anything stupid and not going anywhere he's not meant to be.
[A beat.]
And if ... you have any suggestions with that, I'm listening.

Hakuryu'd probably be better, huh?

[Don't worry, Sefton. Dragonair is smart as smart, but this 'experiment' requires a creativity of thought that nearly all dragons lack.]
Is that alright? Do you mind?

I... I guess not. You-wouldn't be 'round?
