The sensation of Charles' broadcast sends a particularly violent chill down Sefton's spine, the thought of a recoil even if he doesn't actually know how to pull them away, as the last time he felt some sort of mental influence like that was when AU!Lance accidentally brainwashed him. Oh no. ]

[ Charles steps back into the shadow of a building, his fingers moving back to his temple. He's startled, afraid, and there's something about this city that presses on him from all sides, a sensation he's never felt before.

He feels that little spark of fear and chases it. ]
