WHO Jessica Hamby and You WHAT Jessica was hungry, so she decided to go out wandering for someone to feed on. WHERE The streets and alleyways of the downtown area, mostly. WHEN Tonight, 9/21 WARNINGS Vampire violence, mostly
There's an interesting fun fact about Emma, and it's one that tends not to matter unless certain circumstances arise. See every night before Emma goes to bed, she shifts out of her diamond form, unwillingly, to be perfectly honest, but hey, the city is a bit mean and she can't hold in continuously, day in and day out. The point is that before she sleeps she does a scan of the minds in the city, mainly to make sure no one is going to kill her and to pick up on any late night happenings that might be of interest to her.
Jessica happened to be one of those things that interested her, to be more exact, what she did to her prey was interesting. Which is how Emma finds herself trying to find Jessica in the city before managing to find her a bit away from the the place she's staying at. She may be planning something for her, and really, Jessica, don't you want to hang with someone who lets you have fun?
Of course she does. Mostly because back home, no one ever did. Not Bill, certainly not Hoyt. Fun was something she definitely did not get nearly enough of.
That in mind, it took a moment before her to realize there was a room standing not too far from where she was heading. And it seemed almost like...like she was waiting for her? But that didn't make much sense. She didn't know her, after all.
"Can I help you?" She asked, approaching Emma with caution.
Remy wasn't really looking where she was going. It's a bad habit of hers that she really should fix, especially in this town. Never know who she might bump into, and in this case? It just so happened to be Jessica.
Her shoulder bumped Jessica's, and she looked up with a startled frown. And then more of a relaxed surprise. Bumping into pretty redheads on the street was never a bad thing in her opinion.
"Sorry," she said with a bit of a smile. "Should watch where I'm going."
Jessica had been lost in her thoughts, mostly in her need for someone to eat that even though she heard the other woman approaching, she didn't move quick enough to avoid the contact.
Still, she smiled polietly, trying to ignore how hungry she was. Usually, she preferred feeding off men, but at this rate she might need to make an exception.
Not that she revealed that. Instead, she smiled back. "It's alright. You didn't hurt me or nothin'."
"Still," she said with a nod. "I'm usually more coordinated than that."
There was another small smile, as she appraised the woman for a moment, before nodding to the street. "Well, I shouldn't keep you. Have a nice evening."
Sam still needed a job. And in Bete Noire, you were as likely to find one at night as any other time, so he was wandering, picking up tips, checking out anyplace that might need help.
He recognized the redhead outside a bar, and slowed his steps, a smile of recognition on his face.
"Hey," he said. "Jessica, right?" He knew it was Jessica, remembered it because of his Jess, but it felt strange to just call someone that, especially when he'd so recently been thinking about her.
"Yeah." Sam smiled into the slightly awkward pause that ensued, because he didn't really have any reason to stop a woman on the street. "Um, so how are you doing? Settling in?"
"For the most part. Still gettin' used to bein' here instead of home. Thing seem real different than they were back in Bon Temps." Which was true. She was used to being in a more rural area, they was something exciting about being in a urban sort of city.
Eric was making his way back to where he had been staying himself when he bumped into her. Funny how he didn't even have to go looking and yet he still ran into people that he knew around this city.
"You've fed," he said, simply. He had too, that's where he'd been coming from. Of course, he was a little bit neater with his food. He'd had a bit more practice than she had at this thing, after all.
She supposed there was no point in trying to hide it. Eric could probably smell it on her or something.
She just hoped he wasn't going to lecture her or something, like Bill might if he were here. (It was strange, part of her almost wished Bill was here, sometimes).
"Well, I kinda had to," She said, just a little defensively. "I couldn't just let myself starve or nothin'."
Lucky for her, or unlucky depending, Eric's really not the lecturing type. He steps forward, reaching out a hand to brush a droplet of blood off of her chin, sticking his thumb in his mouth after he did, as if it's no big thing or any invasion to her privacy whatsoever.
"I take it that you've found somewhere to stay, then," he said, abruptly. She must, if she's still around, after all.
She was good without the lecturing, really. She was a little taken aback by the invasion of privacy, but she supposed she shouldn't be. It was hard to know what Eric would do though, he wasn't a vampire she knew particularly well. Other than the short time she stayed at Fangtasia when she was first turned, she had never spent much time with him. Usually, she ended up talking to Pam more when she stopped by Fangtasia now.
She nodded her head. "Another vampire offered me a place to stay."

She paused for a moment, debating whether she should stop the other woman or not. She was very, very hungry.
"Where are you goin', if you don't mind me askin'?"

"That's right. And you'd be Sam?"
It was easy enough to remember his name, considering it was the name of her boss back home too.
