He caught Angelus' scent the night before, and hurried back to the crypt, to make sure Cho was all right. Didn't think of what that might mean, beyond another source of food being taken from him. But Cho had been fine, and Spike had said nothing, and just hoped that her staying there meant it qualified as her home.

This time, he sees him, striding between the markers like he bloody owns the place. So Spike loiters next to a huge marble statue of an angel, lighting up a cigarette and waiting.

Oh Spike inakoipond July 6 2011, 04:01:05 UTC
Angelus stopped,turning his head slightly.

"Spike." He turned to face Spike's silhouette. "I could put a restraining order up. It's creepy to stalk. Someone might think you were unsafe to be around. A little off-kilter."

Spike exhaled, a stream of smoke dissipating in the warm air.

"Guess you'd know," he said, shoving off the base of the statue. "You're the one pokin' around my neighborhood."

He was jealous. Angelus smirked, watching the vampire he at one time mentored come toward him.

"Angelus is in your neighborhood stealing your thunder. What're you gonna do about it? Be as ineffective as ever? Pout in the corner while having a fag?"

graveyard - 7/6 53rd_abhorsen July 5 2011, 18:54:58 UTC
Despite having just worked a full shift with the clean-up crew, Sabriel didn't head back to the hostel. Sleep hadn't come easy to Sabriel since she had first arrived, and realizing how useless she was as Abhorsen in this city had left her feeling even worse than normal. So instead of going home to sit in her room alone all night, she'd chosen to go to the graveyard and pay her respects to the dead. See if any souls were lingering she might be able to talk into the other side.

While dressed in a simple, white dress, Sabriel also wore some very out of place accessories. A large sword was sheathed at her hip and a bandolier hung across her chest. The bandolier had seven cases, but only five of them held any bells. They made no sound as she walked through the graveyard, dampened by their cases. She came walked slowly through the graveyard, running her hand over various gravestones and pausing at a few to read them. Sooner or later she'd find something to keep her busy for the rest of the night.

Sure thing! inakoipond July 6 2011, 04:06:10 UTC
He assumed Buffy would be a go-to run-in in the graveyard. But, she had been a no-show, three days in a row all ready. She was either breaking down from the weight, from the famine he'd heard about, or regrouping for another chance at failure. Either way, Angelus was going to stroll slowly through the graveyard, anyway.

He spotted the girl from afar. She was reading a gravestone. Didn't parents teach their children not to wander alone through graveyards? He guessed not in her place. Shrugging off his leather jacket, he readied himself to fake a chase, run into her and gain her help before taking a bite --

And then he spotted the weapon. Well, what was she? He pulled his coat back on, stalking her, watching her every move. What was her deal? He really wanted to know.

It took Sabriel awhile of wandering through the graveyard to notice Angelus. Not because her senses were off, but because there was so much Death hanging around the graveyard that it'd been hard to sense his death among it. But when she did, she found it hard to ignore. Something not quite alive but not quite dead either. It almost reminded her of home, the way things could be called back from the dead. But clearly something very different from home as well.

Then she remembered her conversation with Wes about what a vampire was. Maybe that was what she was sensing now. He had warned everyone that there was a dangerous one about.

Her hand casually lighted on the hilt of her blade, ready to draw it if necessary as she searched out the source of the intrusion. "I know you are there, so please stop hiding in the shadows."

That hand went to the blade at her hip and Angelus was intrigued, stepping out of the shadows, having gotten ahead of her.

"But, it's so fun," he said, watching that hand on her blade.

Mellie's been feeling sort of reckless. She's not doing anything, specifically, but occasionally when she gets the urge to take a wander lately, she's ventured out from the mansion and gone possibly where it's not a good idea to go.

Really, it doesn't matter. If things go too badly, they can just get taken out of her head.

Sounds good! inakoipond July 6 2011, 03:59:24 UTC
"Did you hear that?" Angelus said, seemingly appearing out of nowhere. He gave a paranoid glance back. "I'm - sorry," he continued. "I didn't mean to startle you - if I did. Still getting used to heading home in the dark."

"Hear... what?" Mellie made a face. "It's okay, I mean, being in the dark in a weird city that pulls people out of nowhere is cause for jumpiness." A little attempt at a smile. "You new here?"

"I don't know," he said, looking back at her. His face wasn't demonic. Just the opposite. And he was smiling now. "Yeah. Week or so. Doyle," he said, offering his hand.

Docks - Wednesday? omnomgoauld July 5 2011, 22:56:09 UTC
Ba'al had been keeping to himself a bit too much lately. This new tension in the air made him leave his usual surroundings and wander. He had no particular goal in mind when he headed to the docks. There were some minor business matters he may need to attend to in the area. Some enforcers deciding to skim and line their own pockets. The usual.

He was dressed in rather normal looking clothes save for the coat he wore which was the one he came into the city with. It's not terribly obvious but he wore his goa'uld hand device on one hand. He opted to leave the sword at home, it often gave him more trouble than it was worth.

Ah, and there was one of the enforcers he needed to 'speak to.'

Wednesday Night's All right for Fighting inakoipond July 6 2011, 03:56:38 UTC
Angelus was doing a round of the docks. He kept half-expecting Team White Hat to check there first. And yet, all week, he hadn't been bothered. Not by them, anyway. Spike the night before but that hadn't exactly counted. Spike was a gnat he needed to flick away. In a way, Angelus was looking for a fight. Or a bite.

"It's pretty late," he said from the shadows. When he emerged, his face was friendly, nice. "You should be careful. Who knows what's out there." Maybe even a sea beast. But, he grew bored of his nice attitude and couldn't help but change his tone almost immediately. It was too easy, pretending to be good, gaining trust. He wanted something interesting, something fun.

"Well, it's just my luck. You Bete Noire-ians just love walking alone at night," he said.

Really, Ba'al actually appeared annoyed to be approached while in the processed of his own 'hunt.' He glanced to the man ahead he was tailing, just barely within the range of his ability. He could weight him down and deal with him later.

Now is attention turned to this new person. "I know precisely what is out here," he said in a sharp tone, "Do you?" It was tempting to flash his eyes but no need to play that card just yet. This person obviously had no idea who he was. For once, he'll keep it that way.

"Well, I'm more new than anything so, I -- think I don't care. Oh, don't get me wrong. I'm all for curiosity but in this cause -- you just might be the cat," he said, circling him.

Bonnie and Damon, downtown Tuesday blytheandbonnie July 6 2011, 00:32:45 UTC
Bonnie walked out of a shop, carrying a few bags with her. She paused in the doorway to lift a leg and admire the nude toned wedges she was wearing out the shop, along with a new peasant dress.

"I like them," she announced to Damon. The quest, of course, had initially been to look for her lapis ring again, but when she'd passed the dress shop, she couldn't help poking her head in. They always had cute things, and shopping made Bonnie feel better. And right now, she was just trying to forget all about the nasty incident with the corpse burrito.

Damon followed after Bonnie. He wasn't listening to her, not really. Well, he was listening in the way built into the male brain, which rendered them capable of saying 'uh huh' and nodding when appropriate, but that was about it. There were times when he found Bonnie's chattering endearing. This, however, was not one of those times ( ... )

He recognized the redhead, or her voice, anyway. And he placed the male immediately when he spoke. That was Damon Salvatore, originally Stefan. He was the evil 'round these parts. Or, so he claimed. He wasn't really that impressed.

But, Bonnie was a looker. A little hyper, overly-friendly - but cute. He could see himself breaking her.

Angelus stepped out of the shadows of the nearest alleyway.

"I think he has the right idea," he said, looking at them. "I was thinking about getting a bite to eat." His face changed, fangs emerging, eyes going yellow. "It's like you read my mind."

Bonnie was just about to tell Damon that she was feeling a bit peckish herself. And then a very tall, very handsome, very good looking man emerged from the shadows--

And she recognized that voice.

"Ooooh," she said, and her large doe eyes widened even more. Oh, this was that Angelic guy. Well, no wonder they called him that. That was totally the hair of an angel. How did he get it to stand up like that?

And those pants. She decided she would get the Doctor some leather pants. All men should wear them. Those were nice pants. She had half a mind to go over and just rip them--

No, no, NO. He was evil and she had quite enough evil vampires in her life right now.

"I don't have a cupcake with me just now," she managed to get out. "Not that you--well, you probably don't eat baked goods, do you?" A pause. "No, probably not."
