It is disturbing and oh so common. I've had multiple people comment on this that something similar has happened to them. It's so sad and frustrating that things like this happen to kids even today. I wanted to write this and try to shed some light on it...

And just rereading this depresses me. Arg. So painful. I can't believe I managed to write it. >.
