Christmas was nice... but hectic n such. I was sick for it but ah well. I'm finally starting to feel better after 2 weeks of that. It sucked... I was so weak. I couldnt really help decorate much.. and when i did I did it in small amoutns of like.. 2 minutes for every half hour. thats about how much energy i had. I physically couldnt do it.

Christmas was nice... I got some gifts i really liked, and gave some pretty spectacular gifts myself... but i couldnt wrap them.. but my sister and my parents were nice enough to help me out there. <3 them.

Some bad stuff within the family was brought to light over the holiday too... but that is being taken care of.

Now its time to figure out what I am doing for new years... no clue yet. If I cant configurate plans with some of my friends ill just get drunk with my sisters and their friends. that'll be fun.

I CANT WAIT FOR MARDI GAS... lol. I was looking at the Mardi Gras site (http://www.mardigras.com/) mm i cant wait. I'm trying to convince random friends to come down... Though there are some I wouldnt dream of asking. It's a time for having fun and partying... I dont like people who tend to flake out, or ruin fun things. Dont get me wrong I love some of my friends, but I can think of a few in particular who would be all for it and come down.. then get here and not have fun. They would not feel well, or not want to party. So sorry, but my Mardi Gras is not getting ruined for anyone.

Mardi Gras will be a lil more special this year... a lot of the funds are going towards katrina releif.. and I am personally very glad New Orleans is having Mardi Gras. It's part of the city, and i think people need to be reminded of the culture there. Sure most of Mardi Gras is the BBB's (booze, beads and boobs) But theres history behind it too. And Tradition. Fuck the people who dont like louisiana, new orleans, or mardi gras.

Im going to try and bake a king cake for my family before i leave..(For those of you not familiar... king cake is a Mardi Gras tradition... It's a pastry, either plain, iced, or cream cheese/fruit filled... Very yummy. It started way back with the choosing of the krewe Queens... in tradition you hide a bean or a plastic baby in the cake... the girl who found it would be queen... now it more or less symbolizes good luck I do beleive.. or something of that nature) lol should be interesting. I tend to not have a lot of luck with things that involve yeast in baking... but i will have moms aide there. So we shall see.
