I find it amazing what music can do to you. What a simple song can make you feel. I love the way lyrics will bring you back to a place in life once lived. A melody will offer you a ride to revisit a time forever in your past. I love that a Teddy Geiger song takes me back to this past summer. It reminds me of how I grew the closest with two of my very best friends. It reminds me of county fairs with cotton candy. It brings me to a place where the sun is shining and I can still hear the waves crashing into the sand on the beach. I love how a Motion City Soundtrack song relocates me to a venue where I experienced one of the best concerts of my life. I remember that I danced like I never danced before, and giggled & squeeled with my best friend as we took in our surroundings. I find it comforting how a Jason Morant song floats me on a cloud back to the time of pure pain. When all I could do was take each day a step at a time, and pray along with each passing minute that my heart wouldn't shatter right there in public.
