This is a sort of "Doctor Who" meets "Avatar" story, without the avatars.
The Doctor, Amy, and Rory have learned how to use their parachutes, a necessity for living in a gigantic tree, but the tree holds other dangers. When a local predator, a treecat gets up into the branches of the city, it's up to the Doctor and Rory to help the locals battle the beast.
