Help! I'm having writer's meltdown. Need encouragement!

I don't normally post personal stuff on here but I am making myself crazy!

I've finally gotten to the last chapter of my story " Up a Tree" that I've been writing for the last three years. And I can't tell if I'm being a perfectionist, am just scared to let it go, or don't want it to end ( Read more... )

Well, of course The Doctor has to be super brilliant at the end, saving the day and all of the wonderful characters and creatures, but especially Amy and Rory.

It's finally complete! I just posted the last chapter of " Up a Tree!"

I sincerely hope I made the Doctor be super brilliant at the end, and I really hope you enjoyed the story. Thank you so much for following it all this time. I just checked, and I posted the first chapter on Oct. 10, 2011, so it's been nearly three years!

Anyway, thank you very much for your encouragement, and all your lovely reviews. I hope the story was worth it.

You can do it! Just close your eyes and click the post button, you can always fix it later. No matter what you think, everyone else is going to think it's awesome. Remember - everyone is their own harshest critic.
I haven't been keeping up the whole time due to RL insanity, but I have read quite a few chapters and think it's completely amazing. I triple duck dare you with an empty duck pond thrown in for good measure to have the last chapter posted by the time I catch up to it. Which will probably be tomorrow. Because now I've gotta stay awake all night reading the whole thing. *sigh* the things I do for you.
So here's your kick in the pants, encouragement, and nourishing (not really) (okay incredibly sugary) snacks to get you through this.
*throws some marshmallows and gummi bears on top of the pile*
*shoves the whole thing at you forcefully, then gives you an encouraging wink*
Good luck!

Thank you, Thank you! Cookies greatly appreciated.

I did actually post the final chapter two days after you wrote this, so it helped! And I just now posted the epilogue. So " Up a Tree" is now officially complete! I can't believe it!

I hope the story lives up to your expectations, and I am eager to hear what you think of it.

Thank you.

I've been anxious for you to finish it since it was started! I definitely think you should just go for it. You know your story, so let go of the fear and just write your story.

And I'll be anxiously waiting to read it. :)

That is excellent advice, I think fear has been the thing that has taken the longest in writing this story. So hopefully I will be able to set it aside for my next long project, which will be a multi-chapter Doctor and River story.

But, for now, people (including me) can finally read the whole story of Up a Tree.

I hope you enjoy the ending.

I've been following the story from the beginning, and am really looking forward to the last chapter. There isn't all that much long, adventure - centred DW fanfic around, so this has been a breath of fresh air. Please finish it soon!

Thank you. Yes, I agree, there isn't much adventure based Doctor Who fanfiction around, I always love it when I find one too. But then, I'm always hungry for more Doctor Who adventures.

Thank you for following the story, I know it's taken a long time. But I finally posted the last chapter, and the epilogue. So now it's all there, all one whole big, (dare I say epic?) Doctor Who story.

I'm not quite sure what to do with my self now, this has been part of my life for so long I feel a bit weird. But I think I'm happy with how it came out.

Thank you for the encouragement, and I hope you enjoy the story.
