Author's Note: For those who don't know, a Route 66 Road Trip was popular in the 1950-60s.

It was a car trip all the way across America, from Chicago to California. Whole families would pile into their station wagon and take in all the scenery and roadside attractions of the time, from the Grand Canyon and Redwood Forest, to tacky sideshow attractions like the World's Biggest Ball of String and motels made of Teepees. (Think the Pixar movie "Cars.")

Great concept! Loved the fic. I could totally see an entire adventure on Route 66...

Too bad we never got this conversation on the show! Then again, you probably wrote it better :)

This is a lovely look at things from Amy's perspective - something that's just hinted at in the end of The Wedding of River Song. Very much enjoyed :)

Aw, this was just lovely. Loved how flustered the Doctor got at Amy's remarks and questions, and Amy and River having fun playing with him were also lovely. I really enjoyed Amy's insight over River, how she saw much of Rory in her (♥♥♥) and thought that Mels had been more like her, how she could see some of her baby in River. Very sweet Ponds time ♥

It's a very weird dynamic and you play very well with it. :)

Fabulous insight into Amy's mind! Everyone's voice was nicely captured here, from Rory's non-involved attitude to the Doctor's faked awkwardness around River -so sweet, so tender, very accurate also. But my favourite part really was Amy playing with the Doctor, at the same time revealing how hard it was for her to give up Melody. Splendid work.
