Very nicely done! :D Beautiful moment between the two of them, playing their little flirtatious power-tug-o-war, when both in fact are so willing to concede the game anyways. :D

Oh, I really enjoyed this. Love the Classic Who reference as well with TOMTIT. I had to go look that one up.

I like seeing this quiet time between them, and the chess set is gorgeous. I also have flashbacks to the electric chess that the Doctor played during TWORS. Yes, he did win.

Oh, I really enjoyed this-wonderful descriptions of River (especially at the very end-just beautiful), and I loved the tenderness between the two of them, the way she picked up on the bad day at once, the banter, the touching. I laughed at the line about strip chess and the fact that his boasting wasn't a threat at all ;) Lovely descriptions of the chess board and the way the game works as well, I loved River in teacher!mode and how much the Doctor enjoyed that. And the wordplay on capturing the queen was just lovely. Delightful work ;)
