OH PWYLL. *faints*

*revives* There was such a wonderful amount of Pwyll, it overshadowed Arthur's presence in this episode. 0__o And I think I should start focusing on the plot more than watch the cute guys cos I do not get the episode. Well, the flashback at least.

SUMMARY:

The last weapon needed to help the good guys defeat the bad guys is Drynwyn, Pwyll's sword. Arawn and the guys go ahead to the main place (seriously, I forgot the name >.>) while Arthur, Riannon, Octavia, Morgan, Llyr & Rashty go and get the sword at Gorsedds Arawn. Supposedly by going to this place Arthur would find out more about whatever it was that would prevent things that happened to Talieshin from happening again. (not making sense, am I? >.>) He goes to the place, and tries to get the sword out of the stone. Just then a blinding yellow light is emitted from the sword just as Arthur touches it.

Arthur & Drynwyn.

Thus, the flashback starts. Pwyll is the elf (yes, I think bunian is translated into that) king. He leads the other elves (and humans?) and tells them to pray, I think? But he knows that praying would be useless against the heavens and spirits cos they just won't listen. Even so, he thinks that this is their fate, to die, because they have angered the spirits, and so doesn't tell them. He also seems to have an opinion that humans are only supposed to follow the spirit's bidding (from the last episode, I recall) so that's why when he saw Primula talking and laughing happily he was a bit surprised. But that's what I guess Arawn & Pwyll were talking about when they met. And the show has subs. >.>

It's kinda true. Arawn's paternal instincts. XD I actually imagined Pwyll as the mama XDDD

What kinda confused me is that at the beginning Pwyll says that in the land, people are not allowed to laugh, or cry, and yet he laughs along with Arawn and Primula in the end. Am I missing something? Also, if he knew of Arawn's true identity or not. It seemed like he did, because he wanted to take Primula away from Arawn in the beginning, but when Arawn mentions Mryddin he was surprised. *confused*

And Pwyll takes the girl away. maternal instinct maternal instinct X333

EDIT: I just realised this just as I was rewatching the RAW on the internet. Pwyll, saying 'watashi' in contrast with Arthur... it's cute. X3 (who's the seiyuu, I wonder? He sounds similar to Arthur but usually Japanese use different seiyuu...)

I seriously need to rewatch the show. >.>

Mmm. Pwyll at his knees. /gets shot

ARAWN RAEP HIM /gets shot

Father & mother X333 I seriously need to stop reading those family FrUK fics... XD

[A break from the summary: Even though Pwyll's a guy, I cannot help thinking he looks like one of those 'prince' girls - you know, in yuri stories where every time there is this 'prince' student in a girl's school... ]

Whatever it is, when Arawn's true identity is confirmed Pwyll instantly bows, and with tears in his eyes (which was cute~) he begs Arawn for mercy. To his disappointment Arawn says that he was the 13th spirit, the cursed one, and thus cannot do anything to help. But he helps the guy up and says that they should fight alongside each other against the spirits. Then Pwyll mentions friendship, or being comrades. Arawn - innocently X333 - says that he doesn't understand the word, and Pwyll explains. Around this time Arawn says that his real name is Lucifer. Pwyll, once again, is surprised by this (everybody has double names, it seems XD). But from his reaction, it looks like real names cannot be revealed to just anyone, but someone you trust and are close to. Arawn trusts Pwyll enough though, and Pwyll also reveals his true name - Regius. That ring a bell? X3

Pwyll. Crying. *nosebleeds* /gets shot a thousand times

Pwyll looks a bit annoyed from Arawn's comment on his real name (it was when Arawn says that Regius means 'small king', I think), and Arawn - innocently, again <3 - braces himself for 'impact'. yes pwyll totally agrees with me at the fact that innocent arawn is so damn cute From that reaction, Pwyll laughs, and even though Arawn was confused at first at why his new friend had just broken the rule, he laughs along in the end. CUTE MOMENT X3

Instant BFFs. BAWWW. <3

I think I was in the same position as Primula when the two were suddenly laughing together. XD laughing along and at the same time wondering why they were laughing in the first place XD

Primula: "変なの..." *laughs* <-- my reaction XDDD

Then the time skips to when Arawn is hit by this thing (and thus explains the thing Ogam mentions at the beginning of the series) that causes his injuries to not be able to be healed. Upon hearing this from Ogam, Pwyll is devastated, but Arawn reassures him and says that he will not be dead; he will just sleep until his wounds recover, and that he will be fighting alongside Pwyll's descendant when he has fully recovered. I was a bit sad hearing this actually. ;__; And even then he asks for forgiveness from Pwyll for dragging the elves along in this fight for human rights. ;__;

Crying Ogam was actually touching. ;__;

This moment is so sad... ;__;

[This part actually proves that it's not just the art. Seiyuus contribute a lot to making a certain scene emotional. The voices at this point was just... brilliant & in character. *sniff*]

For once, living for an excessively long time after getting severely injured doesn't annoy me. XD

He then asks Pwyll's help to support him to this stone place (where Arthur and the others are currently), and together they chant this spell and embed Drynwyn into the stone. This releases a spell around the area so that everybody on Earth is protected from the spirits' wrath.

They're just holding hands for the spell but I still couldn't help but squeal. X3

That expression. And that voice. Is SO. *severe nosebleed*

It is also explained later that the reason why they must fight and why Arthur must retrieve the sword is that the spell has now become ineffective and now the spirits are releasing all sorts of evil again. This might also explain the random monsters that pop up from nowhere. >8D

Preview of next episode - lovers reunite X333

REACTIONS:

1. What more can I say - I've squealed more than I could count just from watching this episode. Blame the awesome art. X3

2. I know I've said this many times, but innocent Arawn is cute. And to prove it, even Pwyll agrees with me. X3

3. I think this would be the last time I get to see Pwyll. Very sad. ;__; That, added to the fact that Animax has reminded me that September would be the month when the finale is shown. 4 more episodes left... *sobs*

4. I know there is something wrong with me when I couldn't think of ways Arawn & Pwyll could've got together. Like got together got together. 0__o

EDIT2: SOMEONE TELL ME WHO PWYLL'S SEIYUU IS!! Actually, after half an hour analyzing the seiyuu list from the ED, Pwyll's seiyuu WAS NOT THERE. So that could only mean one thing. Makoto Ishii you...

EDIT3: Also. What. The. Fuck. Is.  This. (I'm sorry, yuri isn't really my thing so...)
