what is, or what would be your ideal workspace?
for some time i have envisioned a wide, open greenhouse-like office shared by an entire team of ten or so, with separate desks optionally shielded by low panels, whiteboards along the back which opens into an atrium with access to other teams' offices, lounges, unassigned private offices for borrowing, conference rooms, the kitchen, and so on. even if each person has no more space than half a normal office, the rooms are large and there is an abundance of natural light. collaboration is encouraged by virtue of the shared space.
in practice i wouldn't know what to do with the people who dislike natural light, light at all, or want their own offices, or what to do with everyone when they get all seasonal affective on account of gray and wet. i am also not sure how a multistory building of such offices would be constructed; sloping sides most likely.
