This poem is dedicated to the love of my life, for through her I have found myself. Thank you my mirror of angel’s halos.
The calm night eased the transition into sleep.
Warmth enrapt I in its comfortable keep.
In your eyes, I dive to dream of oceans and seas.
In your loving arms, I drown in a pool of peace.
Your breath is my furnace, the hearth of my body.
Your skin is the coil that holds heat in custody.
The transition.
I fall into slumber like an old man falls down perilous stairs.
The sand man has come to douse all my fears.
The angel walks through me into my heart.
This is her world in which I impart.
I see the glow of her halo’s rays, blinding my eyes with a lightened glaze.
This is what fills my vision and in store, the memory of bliss, too powerful to ignore.
When I awake and the dream is gone…
You are lying beside me, smiling and beaming. It was then I realized I was not even dreaming.
