This is really awesome so far. :) I want to read the rest right *now* but unfortunately need to go out. I'm looking forward to the rest, though.

Love this Daniel, as much through Jack's eyes (and through Sam's) as from inside his own head. Love his take on the encounter with the RepliCarter, love him telling alt.Sam to get her shit together (which is funny ha-ha at first because I don't have the affection other people seem to for alt.Sam and so I'm all 'Yeah!,' but then it turns out to be deadly serious, because he's talking about a weakness that could have serious consequences), love the conversation with Teal'c (who does feel different from 'our' Teal'c, well done). I can't say this bit makes alt.Sam more sympathetic to me, but it makes her interesting, which is better.

Also, the pov choices are perfect. We see exactly what we need to see through Jack's eyes, then Sam's, and then we're in Daniel's head just when we need to be -- not in Teal'c's, which would have followed in a three-external-views-of-Daniel progression.

Lot of quotable stuff here -- too much. Suffice to say, enjoyed it all, moving on eagerly.

Thank you thank you thank you! Moebius breaks my heart, and this is "fixing" it so much. I mean the rest of SG-1 dying still breaks my heart, but Daniel kicking ass, taking names and telling the truth, even to himself, is the best ever.

wow. this is SO good. im really glad i came across this. i was watching moebius last night actually and it was bothering me. lol. i really needed a good fic. i love where you are going with this.

Daniel's thoughts are just breaking my heart, and the way Jack can see how different this daniel is from the one that was wet behind the ears. i love how you are showing the contrast. i also really like that you are doing it from different points of view. it really fleshes out the story. and the conversation with Teal'c is perfect. i am loving this to pieces.
