Feeling somewhat like a proud descendant of Sam Gamgee and Neville Longbottom after getting this one to burst into flower.

Compare with the stubby little thing to the right -- hibiscus rosa-sinensis treated with commercial growth retardants in the nursery. Is it just my Ent DNA that makes me want to weep for it?
