Mary Connell is from the television show "
Las Vegas" that used to air on NBC. Mary was one of the employees at the Montecito Resort and Casino, alongside her childhood sweetheart, Danny McCoy. She's about 5'7" with big red hair and she's very well-endowed. Mary is one of the sweetest people you'll ever come across, and she's very innocent for a girl from the City of Sin. Her dream is to marry her childhood sweetheart and live in a little house with a white picket fence. Mary's PB is Nikki Cox.
How It Actually Played Out
Mary's role at the Montecito wasn't clear at the beginning of the series. Originally, her character was supposed to be a hooker, but this was dropped with a last minute script change during the filming of the pilot. Later episodes established that she was the special events director at the Montecito, planning wedding and conventions while booking entertainers to perform at the casino. She quit her job when the casino was sold at the end of the second season, then was later re-hired the next season as the new hotel manager.
Mary is a sexual abuse survivor. She never discussed the abuse with anyone other than Danny until her stepmother reached out to her for help protecting the two youngest Connell girls. Mary agreed to testify against her father if he went to trial for abusing her, but too much time had passed and her father was acquitted. So Mary bought a gun and went after her father, followed closely by Danny as well as their boss, Ed Deline. All three of them shot Frank Connell, with Ed firing the kill shot. Mary then had to flee Las Vegas to avoid capture.
Deviating From Canon
The Mary that is arriving in Milieux is pre-canon, approximately two years before the start of the series. This time, Mary found the courage as a teenager to report her father for abusing her. He was put on trial, convicted, and sent to prison while Mary grew up with a foster family. Then Frank managed to get out on parole and started stalking Mary, forcing her to flee for her life.
