LOLS, BRENDON. So, I didn't want to "talk" about Vices and Virtues until I officially had the copy and read lyrics and such. Initially I was sort of letdown that it wasn't as grand as the first two albums, but I've still had it on repeat the last two weeks, and I'm not sick of it. The musicality is good. The signing is good. Lyrics are meh, but Brendon can't be amazing at everything, now. I'm really digging Let's Kill Tonight, Hurricane, Ready To Go, and of course Nearly Witches. Overall pleased, not blown away, but satisfied.
Other than panic I've been digging The Kills new CD, it's flawless. I've been meaning to get another playlist out there, I think I'll work on it later today. It's a lounge-in-bed-cause-I-drank-last-night sort of day. March has been a busy month. Spring break was a few weeks ago, which was a good time. Went home but spent a lot of money doing this and that. Stayed with Jenna a few days, went canoeing and dancing and such. Worked on homework quite a bit, too. I had to write my proposal for my thesis, which was a struggle, but I'm glad I've got it done now.
I've had a few crazy nights, too. St Patty's Day was good times, downing Irish car bombs and then going to this frat party where I kept making gay jokes about all these bros. Ha, they didn't take to me too well. I guess I got really drunk that night cause I threw up when I got home, which bums me out cause I haven't thrown up ONCE in this apartment, ugh. So much for that.
Work party last weekend - won seven games of beer pong in a row, so you could say it was a good time. Passed out on a pullout bed at 6am with a coworker friend that wouldn't stop tickling me, ha. We were being giggly, and I'm glad it didn't go any farther, cause ppl at work are already gossiping.
Oh, and big news - I signed an apartment lease! Only $450/mo furnished and utilities included, hells yeah. Living with my coworker Jana and her friends, but I like them. I saw them last night and they hugged me and said, "roomie!" Should be good times next fall, I'm pretty excited :) Still figuring out summer things, if I want to live here and work or stay at home. Hmm. I need to figure this out.
