epic tours, summer mixes, brendon, and intimidating grad students
I'm a little late on the squealing (I blame work), but OMG FOB AND PANIC ARE TOURING TOGETHER. So, the bastards aren't coming to florida, but just the sheer epicness of them touring together has me excited to live vicariously through the internet come August. Plus! I have a slew of family in Chicago, so I may plan a visit conveniently located on or around August 15th. I'm gonna jump the gun and say if I get a chance to see those three bands together, in Chicago, and possibly hang at A&K afterwards, it'd be the the most epic day of my life.
So, yesterday the director of my MFA program emailed us a list of everyone that's entering the program in fall, and lol I got a slew of requests in my facebook last night. This one guy (HOTTIE) started a UCF MFA 2009 group, and everyone's talking about classes and "oh, I have an internship here already" and "I have an assistantship with..." and so on. I always feel behind on things. Plus, checking out their profiles, they're all so much cooler than me. And much more well-read (i.e. no one else has twilight on their "books" list lol). And then I got kind of bummed cause I know I'm not living up to my potential, in my writing life and in general, but I guess being around those kind of people next semester will be encouraging.
Anyway, back to Brendon. BOYYYYY, YOUR FRECKLES. Totally had dreams featuring him the other night. Can't explain it, but I'm insanely infatuated right now. His twitter may be helping this cause. (and oh yeah, that skater/dance au I mentioned earlier? Totally started it the other day. What, I have to revise my bigbang? pshhh.)
Anyway, the point of this was supposed to be SUMMER MIX TIME. I want to do one at least every month, cause summer = good music, so, have at it:
