Monochrome loot

Hi guys! This is my first posting. Have been a silent reader and this community definitely helped me to look out for good buys! :) Wish to contribute back to the community and hope you may find it useful :)

i've updated here for bigger version of the pics :)

1) Hervelvetvase Lush Affair Dress in White - Size M - $32.50(w postage)

Was initially attracted to the cheongsam piece in the same collection, but decided not to get it since I prefer buying things that I can wear again very often. Next I noticed this very classy dress and it looks forgiving to the tummy area, so I got it!
Digress a little - 1 thing to note is that I'm very particular about material of clothes and dislike thin/cotton/cheapo-looking material. So it's something like while everyone who goes to bangkok buy luggage-full of stuff back, I will only buy around 10-15 max.  Yup so from the preview pictures, the material looks promising and flattering and that's how it ends up on my hands.
True enough, it's really awesome and thick material and it's not sheer for a white dress. I rarely wear sleeves but the style of this dress is really unique. It is also flattering on my chest without exposing too much. Overall - I'm keeping it and looks perfect for a brunch or tea~

2)  Dressabelle Eski Embellished Collar Dress in White - Free size - $28

I've been liking shiny embellishments lately and it looks flattering as well so I got it. While waiting for the mail to arrive, I was kinda regretting that I just bought a normal dress and it isnt that cheap. This dress saved itself from being on my selling post because its material is like soooo smooth and slinky! It's pretty cooling for our sunny weather and I just dig soft and silky material. The downside is that it's kinda slightly sheer and it needs a petticoat to wear with. Overall - I will keep it and wear it for casual days or to school.

EDIT (9 FEB): I wore it to school ytd and had a few compliments! :) The embellishments against the crisp white give the simple dress a chic feel. Like there's something unique about the simple dress. weee :D

3) TheVelvetDolls Scallop Trimmed Lace Dress in Black Size L - $30

This dress was the 2nd hit other than the infamous Celine Velvet Playsuit. You know, I camped there at 8pm and commented by 8.01pm for this, the leather panel skirt, and celine velvet playsuit. and I didnt manage to get the playsuit! :(

Anyhow, I tried it on earlier before the launch at KissJane and the size M runs small (I couldnt zip up at the chest area!). So I ordered 1 size up and sadly, it is not as flattering as how I tried it on with the M size at store. It's slightly loose as a whole and lost the effect which the model wore. Perhaps some tailoring would fix? Really would want to love it but not at this point.

4) Love Bonito COVET Carter Corset Size M + TheVelvetDolls Leather Panel Bandage Skirt in Black Size M

I dont really follow LB anymore as their prices are getting steep and I wasnt impressed with the purchases I had earlier last year. However I saw the Carter dress and realized that the crochet lace is damn pretty. Didnt want the dress as I dont really wear flowy dresses, and I found a reseller for the corset version. Thankfully I didnt have any zip problem (for the moment) after reading some reviews about the same top. Overall it is a keeper though the underwire for the chest area is way too high so it's pressing against mine. But it doesnt look like it is so.. yea.

But the skirt. the skirt!! is LOVE. It's super sexy, super wearable and matchable with almost any fitting tops I own. Material is fab, good zips and no VPL. Looks perfect for casual and to parties. I'm glad that I'm able to snatch a piece!! :) I reckon you guys to try to find a reseller online for this okay. no joke.

That's all for today and happy CNY! :)

For ref: I'm standing at 160cm and a local size M. big uk 8.
