Before we knew it, it's already December! And that means another round of OotDs for November from me!
First up's Megagamie's Femme Peplum Top in Royal Purple and The Closet Lover's Aztec Tribal Skirt in Fuchsia! There has already been many rave reviews on the gorgeous cut and material of the peplum top, one of the main reason why it made me joined the BO the very last minute almost 1.5 months ago, and true enough, it was a gem of its own! The colour itself took my breath away and I was so delighted to have some purple in my wardrobe! (Other than whites, blacks and pinks.) Not much need to be said about the skirt since it never failed to garner the most likes when matched with any of my OotDs on IG.
I have been looking for a lightweight midi skirt for ages and my prayers were answered in the form of The Closet Lover's Chiffon Midi in Royal Purple! It's a fresh take from the usual navy or black bottoms and I simply love the cut and length! Given the dark nature of this shade, it was easy to pair with any tops, as can be seen here with my Keryn Floral Top from Catwalkclose. Surprisingly, size XS could fit me snugly, high-waisted. :))
I came across this asymmetrical Lace Peplum Skirt in Cream after reading a review earlier by happytulips on the latest local blogshop -
Lilyrae. I paired the skirt with my favourite Megagamie's Balloon Sleeved Mod Shirtdress in White and Hele Gem Long Necklace in Black from The Stage Walk and boy did I receive tons of compliments for it! The skirt was not sheer even though it was cream coloured as it comes with a thick enough lining. The lace details are pretty intricate and lends a touch of sophistication to the whole outfit. I only wished it has a slimmer cut as the skirt fits UK8-UK10 best. Otherwise, at about $20 (after using the $5 voucher for first time customers), it is quite a steal. :) In fact, I'm already eagerly camping for their launch tonight at 8.30pm! :D
This was a complete The Velvet Dolls ensemble - Meadow Vale Floral Bustier in Black and the Swish It Fishtail Skirt in Coral. The cut of the bustier was absolutely flattering, so much so that I wore it three times straight in a week! The only gripe I have is that the straps are non-adjustable and the length is a tad too long as they tend to slip off my shoulders very easily. I was also heartbroken when I discovered it was for sale at the recent Lilyvelvetgamie sale selling for less than half of its original price. :'( Ah well~
The same bustier paired with VGY's Amelia Lasercut Peplum Skirt in White and The Closet Lover's Boho Knit Cardigan in Cream. :)
I was pleasantly surprised with this Pleated Work Dress from Lilyrae. I was looking for something more suited for work and settled for the dress in classic black and I wasn't disappointed! The dress fits me to the T and I didn't have to accessorise it with a belt because the waistband cinches me pretty snugly already. The material isn't something to scream about but what I love most about this dress is that it comes with black lining underneath. This is because I was wearing a pair of bright coloured undergarment beneath, and it doesn't peek through the white colour blocks at all. :)
A simple outfit I threw on for a Friday, featuring The Closet Lover's sold out Memoirs Ruffle Top in Peach Watercolor. :D
This was also bought from the Lilyvelvetgamie Sale. I was never really fond of sleeved dresses but when I saw that Lilypirates was letting it go for $10 each, I just couldn't resist and pulled one out of the pile and I certainly did not regret this thereafter! Though the picture doesn't do justice to the dress, it was really comfy to be in and not much accessories is really needed for this piece. The V-neckline isn't too deep and the cut accentuated my waist well enough even without the belt. A very sweet and dainty piece indeed.
Another dainty, Megagamie piece from the Lilyveletgamie Sale! It must've been from a really old collection and it looked like a pretty ordinary floral dress at first glance but it fits me pretty well! Despite the non-adjustable straps, the length was just right, so I didn't have to keep fiddling with them if they were to slip. Something you can easily throw on for tea or dates with bffs.
Despite my first defected purchase from Ohvola, the Romance Lace Top didn't disappoint! The wait for the BO was extremely long as shipment got delayed but I was so delighted of the material's quality and the gorgeous fitting that it made the agonising wait totally worth it! My only gripe was I should've bought it sooner at the ST Classifieds Event eons ago! I paired it here with the Fann Maxi Skirt in Teal from Ellysage.
My favourite piece from Lilyrae so far - the Off Shoulder Cream Lace Tunic. It scores a 5/5 for versatility in my books! I could use it as a wide-neckline top and pair it with a skirt or simply wear it on its own, with black leggings and ankle boots! The length of the tunic reaches just below my butt and I especially love the puffy sleeves! The crochet material is pretty decent and comfortable to wear but I would still recommend nude/white undergarments even though it's lined. :) Only other gripe is that it also comes with a strong smell but nothing major about the stench that couldn't be solved after one wash. :)
Reference: I am a UK6 at 168cm in height and wears S for all my outfits unless otherwise stated.
