Marble Frenzy - The Tinsel Rack Lola Slit Skirt in Marble

Jul 02, 2014 22:03

In case you've been living under the rock, you should know that marble prints have been quite the hit this year! Perhaps it's because despite being minimalistic and monochromatic, the prints are not boring and neither are they difficult to match with. I personally prefer them to be on skirts/skorts/shorts so I decided I had to have this skirt when I saw the preview on Facebook. I was lucky enough to cart out a piece for myself (It was sold out within the first 1-2 minutes of the launch).

One reason why I purchased the skirt was because I saw that it was made of neoprene material and I love neoprene :) However, the quality is slightly disappointing- Neoprene was too thin in my opinion for a $26 piece. It is not really very stretchable at the waist so if you do purchase it from a reseller and are in between sizes, I would advise you to size up so you won't suffocate should you choose to eat a big meal :) Hip area wise, it is rather stretchable so that's a plus point (The skirt is 14 inches across hips unstretched and I'm a 15.5-16 inches across hips) !

Colour was 95% true to the studio photo and only slightly more greyish in real life but I don't find that a problem :)

For your reference, I am UK 6, 160cm, wearing size XS (11.5 inches across waist)

The biggest problem I have with this skirt is that it's too short for my liking and I won't be able to wear it to school because of the type of work I'm doing. Hence, I will be letting go of this piece. Do feel free to email me (chloesim@hotmail.com) if you are interested.

Have a good rest of the week ahead!
