Lovebonito Judith Dress in Black S
The small slit at the front gives the dress a twist to the otherwise boring prints (I've seen this prints in many places). The sexy vibe of the slit design is also contained by having longer than usual sleeves and a high neckline, hence rendering it still conservative enough for work. It is made of a thin furry material but the texture and the busy prints help to conceal the VPL. In spite of this, this is not a tummy friendly dress as my tummy could be seen after having a normal meal. Furthermore, I'm not sure whether I am the only person who feels this way, but I feel the material is very warm even though it is thin? Another thing to note is that the dress will tend to ride up when you walk and I always have to pull it down to avoid wardrobe malfunction. Alas! It is still a really gorgeous dress that I foresee myself wearing for special occasions. Moreover, since the material is thin and soft, it can function as a top by tucking into skirts that are longer than it. :)
Genie in a Closet Kirsten Skirt in Black & Nude S
The flowy flared-out hemline coupled with the neat accordion pleats give this skirt a very feminine and classy look. The material is made of thick and slightly structured cotton polyester and hence not sheer (even for Nude). I really adore how the pleats are so neat and how nicely the pleats all fall into place. I am definitely impressed by the quality given the affordable $27 price tag. Gotta love Genie for bringing in affordable and chic midis! I bought both the neutral colors as they are versatile for pairing with most tops and for wear in formal and less formal occasions - Black is more formal and Nude is a more casual colour in my opinion. The only downside is ironing is definitely required but it is not so easily creased as the material is thick and a bit structured. Other than that, it is absolutely worth every penny spent!
FYI: Colour is quite true to my pics for the nude midi skirt as pics were taken under natural light.
FYI: I am a UK6/8 and 1.7m.
