Missypixie Lene Tropical Midi Skirt

What's up, buttercups!

As with all skirts that come in one size (manufacturers are somehow of the belief that one size fits all. Wait till they see the size of my waist), I was skeptical about purchasing this skirt because I'm normally a size M for all Love Bonito bottoms. And when you're that size (aka bottom heavy), you can pretty much forget about purchasing pretty one-sized bottoms because they're normally made for petite girls with dainty, itty bitty waists. I was thus skeptical about purchasing this skirt because, if there is anything experience has taught me, it would be to steer clear from one-sized bottoms as they can never be zipped/buttoned without looking like they might burst. But I decided to bear the risk of disappointment and purchased the skirt from a reseller (But lucky for you girls, there is a second relaunch and you can purchase it over here).

I love how @dreachong styled this piece to attain such an effortless look and the pictures of it on Instagram all seem to promise a beautiful vintagey tropical print. Imagine my dismay when I opened my parcel only to realize that the skirt is actually "greener" than it looks (refer to my picture). I feel that the skirt would've looked less like a curtain if its colour were true to the picture provided by Missypixie. ):

Cheers,
Nicole.
I'm a UK8 for tops and a UK 8/10 for bottoms.
