Missypixie Gisele Organza Midi, One-Size only

I'm a major addict to midis, and this skirt was just too pretty to pass up. I had actually missed the launch for this skirt, but managed to cart it out after slots were released from deadbuyers! It's tagged as Topshop (Size S) and the skirt features a printed organza layer with a shorter inner lining; thus showing off the gorgeous sheer panel of organza when worn. Material-wise, the organza layer is not prickly at all, but the inner lining is a little sheer, hence, nude undergarments are definitely needed for this skirt. Fit of the skirt is actually a little loose for me(my piece measures 12.75" across instead of 12.5" as stated on Missypixie's site) and I think I'll be sending it for alteration cause it definitely looks better when worn high-waisted! I think it's a really pretty skirt, and I wish that online stores would manufacture a skirt that's similar to this design soon that comes in sizes (:

Love Bonito Basics Maddie Top in Ivory, size S & Aforarcade's Tartan Pleated Skirt in Navy/Grey, size S

For LB's Maddie Top, I thought it looked really classy on the model and hence, decided to purchase it. Measurements seemed really small and hence I decided to get Size S although I usually get XS for most of LB's tops. The mesh and cotton material is stretchy and size S fits me well without it being too tight or loose (: However, the mesh layer is quite thin and as it's a long sleeved top, the mesh sleeves tend to stretch out when you move your arms around over time. I noticed that the threads at the underarm portion was loosened(after I tried it on when it arrived), hence I had to resew it back before wearing the top out. And I had to constantly remind myself to be gentle with my arms so as not to end up overstretching the mesh layers when I wore it out today ): It's a chic top to own which can help to achieve lots of different looks I think, but care must be exercised when wearing it out!

Nothing spells preppy more than pleats and a checkered/tartan print, and Aforarcade's Tartan Pleated Skirt is a perfect preppy-look skirt to own (: The pleats are rather subtle as they only start about halfway down the skirt, and the tartan print comes in a mix of red/grey/navy. Material is of a rayon/cotton blend which requires ironing to keep the pleats straight. Fits true to my usual AFA sizing, and to measurements on site (: It's a cute skirt to own to channel out that preppy Gossip Girl look I feel heh! If you're not really a fan of the tartan print, there's a solid colour version of the skirt as well on AFA's site (:

Thanks for reading; Happy Sunday everyone! (:
