Hello all! Hope everyone's having a good week :)
Back to review a couple more of my blogshop buys :)
LB Jayden Skorts in Sand Size S
Saturday Club Aurora Skorts in Size S
This is the new craze- skorts. And I've been lemming Zara's version, because Zara's XS fits me perfectly. But the price, *sigh* a little on the high side. Sand is a very elegant colour and I thought since I don't have any shorts in that colour, why not get something different. The cut and material of LB's skorts are great! Comparable to Zara. Sizing wise, I'm a big UK 8 and Size S fits perfectly.
I also happened to chance upon Saturday Club's take on the skorts, albeit in prints. I love the prints of SC's skorts. Its very chic. Sizing wise, SC's Size S fits slightly more snugly than LB's but still comfortable enough. Material is thick and similar to Zara's, even comes lined with a chiffon layer (LB's is not). For the kind of price I'm paying ($32), inclusive of courier and the material used, I'd say SC's skorts are an even better alternative if you're a fan of prints and want a unique piece.
Still available
here in Size M and Size L if you're interested.
I'm selling LB's skorts because I prefer SC's version, email me at differentdna7@gmail.com if interested in the Jayden Skorts.
CWC Eloise Top in Cream
I believe this is Zara inspired. Made of a polyester, satin-ish material. For the price CWC was selling (during their GSS), I feel its quite a good buy. If you'd like to hunt it down, I've seen it at Taobao before. The top half of the back is sheer but nothing an inner slip can't solve. Worth considering if you love the gentleness of the prints.
Lilypirates Riviera Fountain Dress in White Prints Size S
(Sorry for the creases!) Truly adore the prints. (I really need to stop succumbing to pretty prints!!!) What drew me to the prints was the fountain parts, very european style. Its a cap sleeved skater dress, very flattering to most body shapes. Sizing wise, it fits me all right, just nice at the waist (w/o any more excess space to gain weight) and at the shoulders its a snug fit. Downside is that since its made of cotton blend, it creases easily. Might consider letting this go.
LB Mariette Frock Size M Butterscotch
The front cut-out along with the ruched details are definitely the crowd stealer for this piece. I finally succumbed to temptation to buy this piece, thinking it might be a suitable prom dress. The colour, butterscotch is really unique. I would say its slightly darker than on LB's site. Literally, the colour of lightly scotched butter. Sizing wise, waist fits fine for me, but the PTP is too big. I didn't want to size down to an S, because LB's zips tend to give me problems at the waist when I cannot zip up, cos of all the ruchec details. Woes of being in between sizes T_T I thought of altering it but would rather avoid the hassle of doing so and just wait for a better dress to come. Selling this off. Email me at differentdna7@gmail.com if interested.
Ok that's all. Hope everyone has a great weekend ahead. :)
I'm a UK 6/8 top, big UK 8 for bottoms.
