I couldn't find the exact screencap I'd used for the first icon, but this is from the same scene. The icon was originally made for a 'hands in the air' challenge, and, for some reason when it comes to this character (Echo from Dollhouse) this scene always sticks in my mind, so it was the first image that came to me when I read the challenge. I really didn't have much more in mind for this icon other than her stance, so I just threw a bunch of textures at it. This time around, I liked the cap a little bit more, she's more forward facing, and while I know in the actual scene, she's dancing, in the new cap, she actually LOOKS like she's dancing. So I played around with that in my head and came up with the idea that she might be dancing in the rain, so that's where I went with my texures. I don't know if that came across as well as I wanted it to, but I think the purple works better. The original scene is actually red, hence my color choice the first time around, but I wanted to do something different, and so went with purple. I think it works better with her coloring.

The original icon was for a challenge with 'original background' as the theme, so I wanted to add to that. I kept the same image (because my heart belongs to Peggy Carter, now and forever) and just went with it. I kept a 'real' background and put our Agent Carter back in London. The green works really well against her uniform and I added a splash of color to reprenst her lipstick, that she never goes with out, and her fabulous hat.

I think I improved on both of these icons, so thanks for the challenge!

Oh, wow, awesome! <3

The color combination of the purple with her dress and skin tone is indeed great! I think the texture looks a little drippy, so, yes, the rain motif is recognizable to me.

I saw that the Peggy icon was for original background, so I was curious what you'd do with a new background for her. I love the idea of London! the far-away background works really well with her pose, it actually looks more threatening than the old one!

If you feel like choosing some more for me, I'd be up to it. I actually - for the first time - did some of mine already. (Last year it took me until June, oops. :)) But no pressure, I already got six, which is a good number.
