Love the crop in that first one and the intense dramatic effect of the sharpening and b/w coloring! Clearly, I'm a sucker for b/w icons cuz that second one is softer than the first, but the choice to go b/w really brings an elegance and poignance to the piece. I adore when a subject's face is obscured, and you did it so well with the great blend of fonts in just the right hue! There's almost a haunting feeling in that icon, and I love the vibrant, lush red in it! :)
