* more quantity, I wanted to post more often. I'll call this a half pass because when i made this promise I hadn't posted at all for months. This year I've been making icons at a slooow yet steady pace and that's fine to me. It's still not a lot of icons, but I had other important things to focus on so it's ok.
* Finish my texture randomizer and share it with others. omg, I actually just remembered about this a few days ago and tried to continue working on the tool but ran into some compatibility issues with the old code and my updated development tools so ehh .__. I'll continue sometime next year, I guess. But hopefully I really can share this program at some point. It does function pretty well already but the usability is crap so I need to make some changes.
* Being more ambitious, but this was kinda vague. I'm always ambitious so idk if I was more of that this year than last?? but this bit of the description: icons that tell stories/relate to something specific in the fandom is where I passed pretty well

On the one hand, I'm like "You do your real life thing! That's cool! Real life is important, and it sounds like yours is boss! What a good!! <3" but on the other hand, "Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut j_s icons are the best, and I want things that aren't Lost sometimes so I can shove them into my user pics where they belong, dang it!!". There's such conflict there, tbh. XD
aw, I have to admit the things I want to spend more time with are even less real-lifey than icons, but they're things I enjoy so yeah. I really don't want to disappoint anyone and definitely not you ;__; ♥ buuut I just wish I could still have that passion for subjects other than lost. it's just, every show has felt uninspiring and disappinting after I finished lost. Maaaybe if I find a good substitute for it next year. But I kinda doubt it because watching tv is definitely also among the list of things I want to spend less time on, sooo... don't hate me :c :c
(that being said, on christmas I got this weird craving to suddenly rewatch all the Faith episodes of BTVS. I'd love to make a few icons of her but I didn't even try knowing the btvs cap quality. It's kinda like Farscape, love the show but can't do anything with the caps...)
Tbh I'll be selfishly happy if we get a few icons from you every once in a while <333 I'd miss your work so much if you stopped BUT rl is so important so don't feel guilty/like you have obligations if you can't make time for icons!
That's really lovely to hear, and yeah I don't think I could completely stop iconing and I don't even have a need to do anything that dramatic :D just maybe spend a bit less time on it. MAYBE. Unless I change my mind again. seriously I swear my moods change so fast these days that i get different inspirations each day, sometimes I want to program all day, the next I spend watching tv and after that I get all kinds of icon ideas etc. So, the next year could be my least active but it might as well be my most active yet, you never know :p it's definitely good to hear that someone would like to see my icons so, thanks :3 ♥

Which deserves a serious congrats, and an absolute understanding of where you need to spend lots of time. Though like most others, your icons are flawless and having less of them in my life will make me slightly worse off.
Still, I await patiently for the texture randomizer, lol. And to admire your Lost icons like nothing else, because even though I'm not in the fandom, they are still so glorious!

Nooooo, I don't want to make you worse off D: that sounds brutal, now I really have to continue that randomizer to make up for this! (for some reason, it seems to read and randomize files just ok, but no images appear. Oh but just as I was writing this I possibly understood why! thanks jess this comment actually possibly made me solve that problems so yay! :DD)

(Also, seriously, never feel bad about RL taking more time than fandom/iconing life. You've managed to find a job that you enjoy and are brilliant at, and I really couldn't be more happy for you!)
Icons are icons, and they are the closest thing to art that I will ever admire, so I admire them all, even if 95% are just saved because they are simply spectacular, haha.
I think that your current resolution to focus on RL is great! Sometimes, I just sit in front of the computer and waste sooo much time that I could be using more productively! Good luck with finishing your watchnicon claim!
Thanks so much for the support!! :) haha ikr computers are SUCH a time sink! I don't even want to know how many hours in total I've spent using one... but then again I'm not sure what I'd be doing without them either .__.
