Canon: Lilo & Stitch is a Disney film about a genetic experiment from outer space who escapes the galactic authorities by crash-landing on Earth. More specifically, the Hawaiian Islands. There, said experiment poses as a dog and is adopted by a young girl, Lilo, who dubs him "Stitch." Together, they fight aliens, rock out to Elvis, and hula. Despite Stitch's violent tendencies, Lilo readily invites him into her family, declaring, "Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten."
Family is a very important concept to Lilo, who lost her parents to a car crash a few years prior to the start of the movie. She lives alone with her older sister, Nani, and has been alienated from the kids her age because of the accident. Lilo wants and tries to fit in, but the general consensus among the other 7 year old girls is that she's crazy. While Lilo does have a tendency to act out (either through biting, punching, or practical voodoo), "quirky" would be a more appropriate adjective. She can be alternatively morbid and energetically eccentric, and enjoys taking pictures of fat people, reading about facelifts gone wrong, and pretending her handmade doll had bugs laid in its head and needs emergency surgery. At the bottom of all her endearing weirdnesses is really just a sweet, lonely girl looking for positive attention. Who also wants to take pictures of your belly fat.

Okay, pupils! Today we're going on a journey! A journey of self expression and intrigue. I know everybody treats you guys like monsters, but that's their problem, not yours. In some ancient cultures, they even thought people with horrible deformities were gods on earth! Your real problem is that you're repressed. We're products of our environment, so that's why your souls are swampy and full of gunk. It's polluting your creativity! But it's okay, we can fix that. I brought finger paints. So follow my lead and we'll get you enlightened in no time!
Lots of famous artists like to play smooth jazz or talk radio while they draw, but I have something even better. Elvis Presley was the king of self expression! He could walk the walk and talk the talk. You just... slump the slump? You're definitely slumping. We need to liven you up! Don't be afraid to get into it! Now, in case you need more inspiration than just Elvis, I brought some props and a few of my own pieces for you to look at.
Here's a painting I did right after I punched Myrtle Edmonds in the back of the head. I call it "Hawaiian Gothic." And here's a picture I took of your lake, only I drew in some big waves and a couple of surfers getting eaten by a shark with tentacles. A sharktopus, the terror of the deep! Moving onto my Cubism period, here's a self portrait I made out of Scrabble tiles. Oh, and here's a lintball I found in the dryer that looks like a hippo! I had a voodoo doll made of old shoelaces and yellow socks, but I traded that to the robot cows for these rabbits. They'll be your models for today! Say hello!
But don't just copy me, people! This is about breaking out of the box, throwing caution into the wind, and taking that leap out into the unknown! Don't settle for being just another drawing taped to the fridge! Do something unexpected! Don't paint the bunny, paint how the bunny makes you feel, and then put those feelings in a blender, and then put that blender in space, and then paint it! --Hey! No biting! From now on, that rabbit is your ohana, okay? So treat him nice!
Ohana means family. Family means we do not eat the weak!
