10 inarticulate things
1. palestine is getting the shit kicked out of it. this is all very fucked up. i could go into a rant about israel and an almost equally ardent rant about the left's blind support of palestine, but, for now, i am standing in firm solidarity with the palestinians, whose lives are being lost at disgustingly high rates.
2. my heart is scattered and in disarray. but i don't want to die or anything, so we're making grand improvements in that department.
3. i wanted to come into 2009 with absolute resolve. that didn't happen.
4. ecuador was amazing; a written reflection will be published at some point.
5. the classes i'm taking kind of blow this quarter, but the class i teach is, as usual, the light of my life.
6. dear_____: whywhwywhwywhywhwywhywhywhy? seriously. whyyyyyyyyy?????????
7. i'm literally ten pounds lighter than i was a year ago today, but hate my body to pretty much the same degree as before and feel like it looks no different. what the fuck?
8. my golden bday is coming up (24 on the 24th)!!!!!!
9. i am feeling contemplative about "the battle of algiers."
10. i am pretty into sam cooke and otis redding right now.
