The Secret Life of Me: a 2-Day Mixed-media & Journaling workshop
$195 early bird registration until 3/18 3/26 (includes lots of supplies for in-class use)
April 2-3, 2011; 10-5:30pm with 1-1/2 hour lunch break

We always look outside of ourselves for the answers, but we already know everything that we need to know deep within. We choose not to believe it, don't trust ourselves or just haven't acquired that personal awareness.
While using visual journaling as a portal for personal expression, I'll guide you through exercises in your journals, combining art making and writing to gain personal insight and clarity. We'll clear out the cobwebs and shine a light on those dark shadows. Questions will be asked. While listening to your intuition and quiet self, the answers and hidden truths that your secret-self already knows will be revealed. This exploration will help you gain understanding, opening the doors to personal power, growth, and self-realization.
The workshop will begin with me teaching you how to prepare the pages in your book with gesso, collage and paint. I'll also show you easy ways to use the various media to get artistic results, and also how to incorporate photos and other elements into your journal page.
For those unfamiliar with visual journaling, it is personal expression created through art-making and writing. No art or writing experience is necessary for this workshop, just a willingness to be open to creative and personal exploration. The process is the importance of the journey, not the final product.
