i'm going to miss being 21. mostly because i enjoyed saying i was 21. i guess the next milestone is 25, when i can become a senator. except that would never, ever happen.
chris gave me an awesome birthday present: he cleaned the first floor of our house, last night while i was asleep. this only leaves the bathroom and our room for me to clean next week. that's ok, i would have been kind of disappointed if there had been nothing left to clean. does this make me insane?
rachel is being a traffic cop at today's kinetic sculpture race. i'm sure not where to go if i want to be a spectator, because it seems the route is long and goes all over the place. but i will strike out in search of large amphibious sculptures once i have taken a shower.
it looks like there's someone moving into 704, the house across the street that they've been renovating all winter. at least i saw two dudes carrying a couch into the house.
carla and i were both just solicited (separately, because she just got home) by a young former gang member looking "votes of confidence" (donations) because he is involved in an organization that teaches gang members to be productive upstanding members of society. he actually was really nice and well-dressed and everything, and i would have given a donation if i hadn't just quit my job yesterday.
oh, and that. everyone at work got me a card, and kris even said she'd be a professional reference if i ever wanted one. i hugged dr. maxson and dr. herko and liana goodbye and punched out for the last time. but i'll be back on sunday to drop off my scrubs, and next friday to pick up my paycheck, and whenever it is that pia will need her 12-week boosters...
