Logan arrives an hour early, sets up at the top of the steps where he has a good view of any and all entrance points. He is hiding in plain sight; despite being one of the most recognizable mutants on the planet no one pays him any mind. Wanda is with him;

Logan puts a hand on Rogue's shoulder.

"I'm going to say this once. You got issue with Rogue, you got issue with me."

He waits for the words to sink in.

"Now. I understand there are concerns about Pyro - John's safety. About the Brotherhood. Everything said next is confidential..." He looks each person in the eye so they understand: Confidential or Leave. "So. Got concerns? Speak up."

"He ain't goin' after John." Of course the only reason for that was because Erik wasn't quite himself at the moment but they didn't need to know that. "Toad is though. I don't even know where he is ta try an' talk him out of it. Not that I even could but they ain't gonna kill him."

The next part comes out as a whisper. "They promised. John's family. Ya don't go killin' family no matter how they screw ya over."

Rogue blinks. Why does everyone always think the worst of Erik? The sound of the guards screams in her ears reminds her how silly that question is.

"Why would he wanna kill any of ya? I thought this team was gonna be helpin' mutants somehow so there shouldn't be a need for him ta have anythin' against any of ya."

Except of course he seems a lot more unhinged now and she has no idea what to do about that.

"So then whaddaya suggest, Jean-Paul?" Rogue crosses her arms. She knew it was a mistake coming here.

"Maybe he is, JP," Rachel cut in, "but he's also saved a lot of us time and again." She hopped up, over to the wiry little guy. Nevermind the fact that JP was at least as tall as she was. "And I wouldn't go tossing the 'crazy' insult too freely, here. None of us have a completely clean record on the mental stability front."

"Has Aurora ever saved your life?" Rachel asked. "Because Erik's saved mine. And I stand by you because you're good to me and respect me, and you care about her -- so I don't question what else she's done." Rachel looked around the room. "There's not one of us here without something done that keeps us up at night. Not one of us. But we give each other slack and credit for the effort we put into making up for it."

Rachel walked away from JP and stood next to Anna. Put her arm around her best friend. She didn't feel a need to make the warning any clearer.

Theresa jiggles her leg rapidly, releasing the pent up energy she has from debating with herself whether or not to bring this up. But she does.

"Toad was kept in Weapon X. Weapon X, Logan. That's not acceptable. I don't care who you are or how much shit you've done, no one deserves that. And he mentioned Avalanche being there too."

She pauses. "It seems like he got rid of the place. Burned it down or whatever. But... I'd rather we deal with it than the Brotherhood."

She looks at Rogue apologetically. "I'm just afraid their retaliation might seem too extreme. Give those people a reason to insist on such a program. Plus, if it's an outside group, not the Brotherhood dealing with it, it may give us some more credibility."

She crosses her arms over her chest. "I don't care who deals with it really. But I don't like Weapon X."

Rachel nodded in emphatic agreement. "Weapon X is going away." She paced around another time, running her hands through her hair. "We have to make sure of that. They're weaponizing us." She glanced at the others, each in turn. "I'll stop them on my own, but that'd be loud, flashy, and a lot of people would get ki -- " Rachel coughed. " -- hurt. A lot of people would get hurt. Let's find another way, that doesn't involved smoking craters."
