"There's enough sorrow in the world, isn't there, without trying to invent it." ~ E.M.Forster, A Room With A View.
Ain't read the book. Don't believe in 'world sorrow'. There's individual sorrow. Plenty of it. World sorrow? Got to have a world to have that.
Don't get semantic on me. This is easy to understand. People see the 'world' through their own eyes based on their own experiences. No one fits into exactly the same world as any other person. We share common traits, sure. But all the same? Nah. We'll take me: Male. Mutant. Canadian. Over 30 (by a lot). X-Man. Avenger. Does that mean super hero? Stark might say super villain. Liberal, least aways more than conservative. Boyfriend. Ex-husband. Lover. Fighter. Guardian. Teacher. Mentor. Why not? Person. Human. Animal.
Point is nobody is exactly the same as anyone else. Even if every label is the same, still not the same inside outside and upside down. And my world is my world. You're a part of my world and I'm a part of yours but our world? Our world, if it exists at all, is way too messy for something as intangible as sorrow.
And sorrow's not something you invent either. Sorrow is something handed down and felt to your marrow. Even if it is adamantium.
