Hi all:
Uh. To get right down to it, does anyone know exactly *what* Goosnake!Master is made out of? Do any of the paracanon materials attempt to explain this?
It's very important that I find out for a fic I'm writing, you see.
master: goosnake

In the Doctor Who movie novelization, there are some lines written that might explain Goosnake!Master in greater depth than its visual representation.
I leave you with these lines from the book in hopes that it will help:
From when the Goosnake!Master first makes his appearance:
"From the hole emerged something that was not quite liquid nor solid. An amorphous mass, it appeared almost snake-like due to the small hole it oozed through. The front end of it reared up slightly and two tiny eyes popped into existence, followed by a slitted mouth..."
When the (Seventh) Doctor is shot:
"The amorphous snake-creature that housed the Master's consciousness reared up, a cobra ready to strike...The Doctor had seen it escape the TARDIS, but the boy [Chang Lee] had not. It stared at the youngster, but decided the body was not mature enough for what it needed. It knew it could not remain in this state for long. If the Master was to live again, he needed a new body. Preferably a Time Lord body, which is why it had needed to be within striking distance of the Doctor in the first place. It had to place the life within it into a reasonably Time Lord-like body before too long or it would dissipate.
"With the Doctor out of reach, a human would have to do for now."
"At the side of the alleyway, the amorphous shape of the luminous snake had tried to edge forward. Its skin was beginning to crystallise; it needed to find something organic. Something it could get inside and meld with. Something to survive within, before the mental energy-- the life force-- contained within it...died. The hardening of its mucous body meant that it had to do something quickly.
"In using all its energy to form eyes with which to transmit information to the Master's mind and a mouth through which it could take in oxygen....it had little energy left. No way to to create vocal chords to call for aid, or any form of weaponry. All it possessed was enough energy to get nearer the Doctor and find a way to get inside his body. Once there, the Master would do the rest."
Possessing Bruce:
"The male human's mouth was wide open, which made oozing inside easy. For a brief moment it felt the human gagging and dying. That was of consequence because now it felt renewed, strong...It filled outwards, its body becoming one with the dead human, revitalising the organs as best it could. It was now aware that the Master was getting stronger.
"The last thing it was conscious of was that the Master was displeased--this body would not work for long. It needed a proper Time Lord body, not something as primitive as a human. It needed two hearts, a respiratory by-pass system and a lower body temperature But there was nothing more it could do now except keep this body animated long enough for the Master to find a Time Lord's body...
"Then it dissipated for ever."
I hope in some way this "fleshes" out the Goosnake characterization in some way, and apologize for giving such detail, but I figured you would like as much help as you could get. I hope this helped.

The only thing that I wish the movie had that the novel had: an excuse to make 8 even more of a five-year-old ADHD child. In the scene before Grace takes him to the park, the Doctor is given a scarf and mittens in the book, and just as she's locking up, he's zooming about the place. Takes her sometime to catch up to him.
But, aside from that stray tangent, I must say, they did poorly in not making me envision sexual encounters between 8 and Goosnake!Master, nor him with Roberts!Master.
