two good days all in a row!
Hooray for happy days. I am so blessed to be surrounded by love. Everywhere I look, love. Yay love.
Yesterday was a fantastic day. My best so far since coming to campus this fall. I had a blast. I didn't have any class, but I got up and went on to breakfast with Mary and Trevor. Bama Dining breakfast is a lot like camp breakfast....all the way down to the powdered eggs. I even ate some. Just for a bit of sentiment.
After breakfast, I did a lot of productive RA stuff and homework for my three classes that meet Thursday. I am really going to use my free days on Monday, Wednesday, Friday for staying on top of stuff. I am going to read what I am supposed to read. Plus, I retain so much more when I read in the morning hours or afternoon hours...not after the sun goes down so much.
I am taking Pedagogical Grammar and Linguistics for Language Arts Teachers. Those are pretty much the same class with different titles I think. I have them on the same day, only four hours apart of each other. Should be a good reinforcement.
I love my grammar classes. It makes me realize that a) I am a dork, and b) I am going to be a teacher soon. Much sooner than I actually think, sometimes. Yikes.
Ok, after my productive afternoon, Elizabeth and Jenn and I went to Pier One to see if I could finally buy a papasan chair. But the colors are not pretty. They are not Bess colors. I wanted a yellow cushion. Apparently that's not an option . But I was disappointed.....I am just not a taupe, olive, or cranberry type girl. I am a primary color girl.
After that, Trev, Mary, Jenn, and I went to Chang's. We were so loud in the restaurant. It made me happy. We were throwing forks and giggling. My fortune was fun. It said that my charm and courtesy allures many. (In bed?!?) :)
Jenn had a poopy day. We had to pamper her. And I thought I could stand to be pampered as well, so we all got pedicures. My toes are ELECTRIC PINK!!! I am way excited. If my personality could be defined by color I would hope that it would come close to this shade of pink.
We all went to see Andy after that. He was hanging out at the Central/Thompson game. It was happy to see him. He makes me laugh and giggle and smile. I love him big. I love the connection teamies have after that common experience. Its something that is not easily lost or forgotten. Yay.
Then we went to the Rec Pool for the Wesley Welcome Week Extravaganza. I played so hard. I giggled and was goofy and loud and shrieky. Yay.
Then we went to Starbucks and had Breakfast for a Buck. Bama Breakfast twice in one day. Yay.
So that was yesterday.
Today was wonderful as well. I had the opportunity to witness to a Chinese man name Fei. Fei is the coolest guy I have met this year, I think. He reminds me a bit of Felipe from Peace Camp. He was so personable. I loved his personality....he's funny. Anyway, he may be coming to churhc with us tomorrow. We'll see. He was pretty interested.
Btw, the hardest question to answer is Why do you believe that you have eternal life guaranteed? Somehow "Because Jesus said so" almost doesn't suffice. I found myself searching hard for concrete answers to difficult questions. It was an awesome experience.
Trevor, Andy J, Mary, and I all curled up in my bed today and hung out while it thundered today. It was nice to just be. We laughed and complained and griped and giggled and snurkled and pushed each other off the bed at random moments. It was truly a fabulous "being" experience. I love to be. Becoming is a hard process. Can we just sit here like this for a bit?
Mary and Trev and I went to Logans. Yummy. Then Mary came back and made me three lj pics. Yay!!!! I am going to post in threes tonight so you can see them all. She's great. Absolutely great. I am so blessed.
