I'm sitting here at the computer sheerly exhausted. My body and psyche has been on an emotional rollercoaster. Tonight, at 8:21 p.m., I was walking across the Crimson Promenade with Peter...we had been cleaning up signs from the campaign. My cell phone rang....can you feel the suspense??? The voice on the other line was deep and unfamiliar....it was Rick Funk, the director of Homecoming. My heart skipped multiple beats and my stomach dropped. "Is this Bess Copeland?" "Yes Sir..." "Well, this is Rick Funk." Gulp. Yikes.

"Congratulations Miss Copeland. You have been elected to Homecoming Court this year."

Yay!!!!

I jumped up and down for an hour I think. Yay!!!!!!
