I decided a peacock feather would be a fun thing to embroidery, so I sketched one based on a feather in my room and improvised. Here is the result.

I do have a sewing machine, but it is not getting much use these days. I'd like to make clothes, but I haven't done much. I am a non-practicing quilter. =)

Do you make clothes? I have some vintage reproduction patterns from Vogue that I'm going to break out at some point when I get more motivated.

That is awesome, I love the shimmery thread and such a unique thing to embroider. What will you do with it, is it on something in particular?

I'm not really sure what to do with it. It's on a basic piece of muslin without any purpose yet. I'm thinking about framing my various projects in embroidery hoops and hanging them around my sewing area as inspiration to keep it up.
