Impasse, Or The Difficulty of Being Bourgeoisie

Upon Mabeth's advice, I looked over my resume again with the intention of updating it. She told me that it's wise to start sending it out to companies even if I don't plan on commiting to anything until the commencement exercises are over. As I reviewed my CV, I was quite surprised at how attractive it is (pagbigyan na ako, please). It's a very well-balanced resume: a "name" university, two majors, numerous extra-curricular activities.

Which brings me back again to my dilemma. Although I'm excited about fashion school and know that it's really what I want to do, I can't help but think of what I'm giving up: stability, security--especially the financial kind. Modesty aside, I think I'm smart enough to, as the cliche goes, "climb the corporate ladder". Choosing such a path can, with a little bit of luck and a lot of hard work, inevitably lead me to a certain level of financial success that will allow me to maintain my current lifestyle. On the other hand, by choosing fashion, well let's just say that things will be more difficult and less clear-cut. Although I'm attracted to the latter due to the risks and difficulties (as well as the possibly bigger rewards--both financial and personal) it poses, there's a voice at the back of my head--my bourgeoisie Capricorn self?--that will just not stay quiet, whispering doubts that cannot be allayed.

What to do, what to do? I just hope I really am the adequate strategist I believe (delude?) myself to be.
