[Yuu. Oh Yuu. Your Christmas buddy is here! Knocking rather loudly on Kanda's door in fact]

[And look! He even remembered the tea. Brought to Kanda in such a wonderfully awesome Christmas thermos. Can't Kanda just feel the Yule cheer?]

[Not being used to such loud knocking he'll open the door with a scowl already on his face. Glaring at Lavi. Maybe if he glares hard enough he'll go away, but leaving the tea behind of course.]

Can you knock any louder Rabbit?

I dunno, Boss. You want me to try? We can start again if you like.

Oi. Don't be a smart-ass.

[Turning around he walks inside his room leaving the door open for him to come in. He starts to search for weather appropriate attire. Jacket; check. Gloves; check. Scarf; check. Winter hat; he'll just throw that on the couch. Hats aren't his thing. Looking over at Lavi his eyes falling on the thermos.]

Tea?

[Holding it out to him in all its holiday glory]

Tea.

And in a thermos, so it can warm you up after we go play in the snow, yeah.

[Lavi is already in a matching snowflake earmuff/glove ensemble with a puffy coat that kind of makes him look like a snowman himself. Ah, wonderful winter apparel]

[Tea is like his coffee it's a must have, so he'll make an attempt to try and grab it. Besides he agreed to this because there was tea involved. There are two things that can have Kanda willingly go anywhere with anyone. 1) Offer him tea. 2) and the promise of soba.]

Tea first then we go on this play date.

[Letting go of it so that Kanda may inspect it at his leisure]

Sure thing. I can just brew you up a new cup after, yeah.

[The tea is lavender oolong, by the way. A strange girly combination but hey- this is Lavi that we're talking about]

[He takes a small sip. Waiting. Once he sees it's not one of those weird teas he continues to sip the tea. Walking out of his room he looks over at Lavi]

Where exactly are we going? [He's stayed far away from any snow filled courtyards, so he has no idea where one is.]

Somewhere for you to relax and have a little lighthearted fun, yeah.

[Turns on his heel and starts walking toward the east. It might take them just a few minutes to get there]

Have you ever taken the time to just play in the snow?

Not exactly. I never participated in any snow fights. But I was used as a shield from any incoming snow balls.

If you were a shield, how can you say you were never in any snow fights? You just weren't in any good ones.

[Grinning over his shoulder]

Think you can beat me? One-on-one. You don't have to be a shield for anyone.

I was content in being a shield.

[Nodding. The reason: snowballs thrown by children didn't hurt. Half the time he wasn't sure if he was hit or not.]

I don't have to rely on my skills to beat you, Usagi.

Lavi.

And what kind of skills would you use, yeah? Is that part of you secret powers, too?

Reply

desiredhumanity December 24 2011, 09:29:08 UTC
No, they are skills I acquired while I was a contractor.

Does that mean you'll go in blindfolded and one arm tied behind your back?

[Lavi might actually have a chance to win in that case]

It doesn't matter. I'll still win.

Really? Really really?

[Oh today is looking better and better]

Well then you better finish up that tea quick. We're almost there.
