[Lavi rubs his eyes as he stumbles towards Yupunzel's room, holding this bouquet tightly in one hand. He was so tired and listless lately. Probably had to do with the pills. Maybe a bit with his own bleary view of the world lately. Or maybe it was just a good chunk of everything

[Still not quite looking at her]

Allen's eye, though it looks different, is the same as any other Allen's eye. It can see the dead, yeah. But it has another downside to it. When he gets near Akuma, Dark Matter specifically I think, it gives him a horrible headache. So he has been taking medication to make the pain go away for as long as I remember.

But when he turned into a vampire, he didn't need the pills anymore. For a good few months he went without them completely. But then- bad things started happening. His sire left. Lots of his friends left. That time I was an Akuma. His unborn child and his mother also left before the child was born. Those horrible hallways that you and I went through... So many things. So Allen started taking the pills again.

And then I- left... to try and find you when you disappeared. So Allen turned to more and more pills. More than was healthy even for a vampire. And he didn't want to stop, so I threatened him, yeah. I take a pill for every two that he takes. So- at least now he's down to a reasonable dosage. Something within healthy limits anyway.

[tempersword]

[... Sighs, raking a hand back through her bangs. She doesn't look angry now at least--just kind of frustrated.] Is that safe for you to be doing?

I'm staying within the recommended dosage for humans. I just- don't have the condition they're supposed to be taken for 's all.

[tempersword]

[Purses her lips. She doesn't really like it (and before going home she would have protested more--it's kind of hard not to accept Lavi's altruism when she's accepted Elaine's) but since Lavi's doing it for someone he cares about he probably won't really listen anyway. Or argue until the cows come home.]

And what if he goes over what's safe for you?

... Then it's the Dressing Room. It can cook me up some new organs the next time I need them.

[A truthful answer. Stupid to say out loud, but honest all the same]

And you're all right with that?

[besomeothername]

If it more than halves his pill intake, then yes. It's the least I can do for him.

[tempersword]

... If you're sure.

[Reaches to take his hand. And grabs for the shovel with the other.] We don't need this.

[besomeothername]

[Threads his fingers with hers, mesmerized by her hands for a moment]

I'd do the same for you.

[tempersword]

... I know you would. [He'd jump through poison and hoops of fire for her, she's pretty sure.]

But were you going to tell me?

[besomeothername]

[He has a list of reasons why he didn't, some valid, some insane. But the real truth is what that he wanted her to ask about it. He wanted her to notice. To be able to tell that something was wrong]

[And now he feels horribly guilty for it]

No. I wanted you to ask about it.

[tempersword]

--Why? [A pause.] What would you have done if I hadn't?

[besomeothername]

Then I wouldn't have said anything.

[tempersword]

... Is there anything else you're not telling me? [Things he's just sitting on and waiting for her to ask for?]

[besomeothername]

Lots of things. [Kind of a small wistful smile as he pulls her hand up to kiss her knuckles] About me. My past. My friends. My future. I want to share it all with you.

But you're a private person. You like things simple. And I have no idea how interested you are in the things I do that fall outside of the scope of this relationship. So I try to drop some things here and there, but for the most part I keep it to myself.

[tempersword]

[Watches him as he draws her hand up, pursing her lips.]
