~ Well, fall break has come and gone and here I am back at school again. In one sense it was really nice to be home again. I can relax, sleep, and just spend time doing what I want to for a little while. I got to see just about everyone I wanted to (lucky me? I think so!) and I love just being around those people and knowing they know the real me. The real, quirky, ditzy me. It's a nice comfort. In other ways, my time at home was not too pleasant. I won't go into all that though, I'm sure things will get resolved in time.
The best part? GOING TO A'CAPPELLA!! Yes, that's right, a whole bunch of people were in town from their colleges and a group of us got together and ended up going to visit the all-around wonderful East A'Cappella Choir on Monday afternoon. Meghan, Dain, Samantha, Wabby, B. Ott, Jessie, Lutondu and I were all there. I have never gotten so many hugs and smiling faces coming at me in one time- it was fabulous to see everyone again! We got to warm-up, do back-rubs (yay!), and we sang, of course. We sang Os Justi and 2 other pieces they were working on. They really do sound marvelous and even singing Os Justi again made me feel all warm and fuzzy. I never thought I would have gotten the chance to sing that ever again, and it was so special with the large group. The hour went by way too fast and I was sad to see everyone go. However, Meghan, Lu, Wabby and I stayed afterwards and had a nice chat with Upton. He was in a good mood and seemed genuinely interested in what we were all doing at school. (He couldn't believe I'm an Alto 2 now. I still own that top note in OJ though...not to brag. =))
Oh, and Sara and I also got to talk with Mr. Dahlquist a little too. I'm glad he's doing well. Overall, it was just super nice to be back for a visit. I enjoyed myself tremendously and had a blast seeing people again!
I know it might be a touch pathetic that I've been home twice since school started, but I don't care. I have fun when I'm home. It's just never long enough, lol.
I owe a few huge thank-you's to a couple people.
*EB: Thank you for stepping up to the plate as my friend/little brother on Monday night. You were so helpful, caring, and self-less. Thank you for being there. You give the best hugs! (I also owe you some gas $.)
*Manda-ramma: I couldn't ask for a better best friend than you, there would be no one else who would put up with me like you do. You listen and guide so well and it just really means the world to me. Thank you for who you are and all you do.
