Sunshine on my window makes me happy

Happy Tuesday to you all! Spring has finally arrived here (amazing how a little bit of sunshine can do that). The only bad thng about spring around here is it's prime time for tornados too. Luckily Drake didn't directly get hit, but we had two days last week where the sirens went off and I spent some quality time in the basment of Sheslow Auditorium. The clouds were swirling in weird motions and the sky was really dark and scary. Both times that happened though, once the sirens went off, we ended up with thunderstorms and intense downpours. I don't think I've ever had to run through lakes of rain like that before. lol

Anyways, other than that things are coming close to an end. At this rate, there's only 5 more weeks (including finals) and 23 days of classes left to go- yay! I don't mind classes, but I'm getting really sick of homework and dorm life. Summer isn't far away. The freedom of driving, sleeping in, working jobs I'm excited about, going to the beach, suntanning on the boat, and hanging out with old friends will be a nice change of pace.
As far as what I'm doing next year, it's still up in the air. Trust me, I don't like it. I just want to be able to make my decision and then be able to form a plan. But, I won't hear anything for a couple more weeks it sounds like....

I was talking to my mom a little last night and we were discussing confidence. I thought I had a steady stream of it going, but I guess I come off timid and shy when I'm around new people. I'm mainly an extroverted, outgoing person, but I think I have to warm up around you first. I keep reverting back to my freshman year of high school where it took a lot for me to open up and be myself. I hope I'm not doing that again. Ah well, as a very good friend of mine keeps telling me, act like you have confidence until you do. Just fake it for awhile.

This whole letting go, flying solo thing is completely new for me. God only knows where I'll go from here.
Every day is a new beginning.
